Best 3D Printer for Engineering Student Under 800CAD(600US)

Hello, I am looking into purchasing a new 3D printer. I got an Ender 3 several years ago when Prusa and Creality were still the best options. I want something with a good build volume of 250 mm x 250 mm x 250 mm or so. Good, dimensionally accurate prints. Good reliability without much setup. An AMS-like system or enclosure would be good but not necessary. Being able to print CF-reinforced, TPU, or other high-strength filaments would be good. I'm not too keen on Bambulab as they aren't very open source or modifable/repairable in my experience.

Should I Apply to UW MTE or ME?

Hello, I'm going into grade 12 in the fall and will be applying to unis soon. Right now, I'm stuck between mechanical and mechatronics engineering; I feel like I'd be more interested in mechatronics since I enjoy building things and I'd be able to learn all parts of the process. However, I know that MTE is significantly more competitive than ME, and I'm not an exceptional applicant.

My grade 11 average is a 96 (90 in English brought it down) with no adjustment factor. I'm the co-founder/co-president of an engineering club at my school, with around 15 active members that does workshops and will compete in a local robotics competition next year. I am co-founding another STEM-related club. I am the leader of a small robotics team with 5 friends making an Antweight combat robot (independent of the engineering club). I've worked a part-time job at a restaurant for a year now, getting around 30 hours a week last year and probably 20-25 hours this year. I'm almost done building a CNC mill out of aluminum extrusion and custom-milled plate, which should be capable of accurately milling aluminum, as well as some other less significant projects and clubs.

I don't feel confident applying to MTE since no one from my school has been admitted to engineering from my school in recent years, and I feel my lack of awards and average grades will hold me back. Should I apply to MTE or play it safer with ME?
