Filipino 28F applying for B1/B2 Visa with my mom 55F
Please help assess
I’m planning to apply for a US tourist visa (B1/B2) together with my mom and would appreciate any insights.
My mom is 55 years old, a housewife, income comes from our small farm but no ITR. She has siblings in the US and an ongoing immigrant petition that was filed in 2013 by her sibling.
I’m 28 years old and currently working as a Software QA. I’ve been employed for over 5 years, with almost 1 year in my current company
We’ve been denied visa in 2002 when my grandparents were still in the US.
Both my mom and I currently hold Australian tourist visas. We are planning to apply for our US visas around August or September. Our intended purpose of travel is to attend my cousin’s wedding in the US next year and tourism.
Our travel history:
• Me: Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia
• My mom: Singapore, Thailand, and Australia
It will only be the two of us applying. My father and sibling will not be applying for US visas. My grandfather also lives with us.
Will the on going petition affect both our chances of getting approved?
Thank you!
