Sup y'all! I'm Funkmeup on Edmtrain. I'm going to be working on a SoundCloud for Edmtrain coming up soon—I just got the okay to start it up! I'll be creating a few different playlists for both established names and new up-and-comers.
We'd love to host a few exclusive mixtapes as well. If we wanted some of you rising producers to cook up some heat for these in the future, who would be down? These would be entirely exclusive to the Edmtrain SoundCloud.
For the up-and-comers playlist, we’d love to make it submission-based. You can email us your newest track link, and if it makes the cut, we'll add it to the playlist. We feel this is the fairest way to handle it, since there are so many talented artists out there that it would be tough to find everyone's music otherwise.
I don't have access to the SoundCloud but once I do I'll come back and post again. I just wanted to kind of gauge interest and see what you all thought. With this being said don't email anything yet.

A lot of people bring up the incoming rain from hurricanes, heat, and 2021 cancellation as to why Bonnaroo wouldn't work in September, but nobody really talks about the massive market competition. September is already packed with major festivals like Louder Than Life, Lost Lands, Dancefestopia, Shaky Knees, Riot Fest, Pilgrimage, Bumbershoot, and Rock in Rio, not to mention the start of major fall tours. With so much going on, a lot of people would be forced to choose. Keeping it in June means fewer competing festivals and tours, giving Bonnaroo the pick of the litter when booking talent. Moving to September would mean fighting an uphill battle for artists who are already booked solid.
Wooli and Orville Peck were scheduled to play Bonnaroo in 2020 and 2021, but those festivals were ultimately canceled.

Wooli is consistently considered one of the top DJs in his genre of EDM—his EDC set this year was amazing, as was his b2b set with GRiZ. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't been booked again since those cancellations.

I've seen Orville Peck a few times now, and he always puts on a fun show. He brings out a lot of special guests, so I imagine he would do the same at Bonnaroo. Plus, it would be an incredible set for us in the LGBTQ+ community. I'm really surprised he hasn't been invited back yet either.
