Like when a track builds up like it’s about to drop… you’re fully locked in… and instead of the drop it just goes into another build-up lol
wowowww ok, so have you ever been shouted at by 100's of people all at once but they're also all your super 'ride or dies' ?? cos that's what doing an AMA on reddit is like lol, its a bit nuts honestly, but THANK YOU for every question. obvi I didn't get to them all - skipped if they were very similar to ones I'd already answered and some I just ran out of time. Feel free to DM me. tbc and go listen to SPEEEDBUMP 01 😄 😄
Can anyone point me in the right direction for some greasy dub? Underground. Sweat. Dirty.
I start with Chime - Only

Since the start of 2026, the music world has changed
AI Music has now made up at least 28% up to 40% of daily uploads onto these platforms, and a decent chunk belongs to people pushing out AI music solely for profit over any form of creativity
With the addition of Spotify "carefully" labeling real musicians who do not use AI Generation, their requirements have left many musicians who don’t use any AI Generation and just below this requirement in the dust.
I feel that two additions to both of these platforms will let users / listeners who use these music platforms daily be able to fully understand in a complete transparent way on WHO they are listening to and WHAT they are listening to.
If there is enough evidence to show that the artist on this platform is AI Generated and not a real-life musician, it should have an "May Contain AI Generation" label on the artist profile itself, similar to how Spotify now has "Verified By Spotify" so the listener understands that the person behind the songs they are listening to with full transparency.
If there is enough evidence to show that the song on this platform is AI Generated, it should be listed next to the artist name on these platforms with "May Contain AI Generation", so if a listener finds the song on a "Mix" or a "Radio" they are listening to, they are able to view that the song could have AI Generation involved with it.
Considering that both of these platforms have allowed AI Generated Music to be put on the platform and have started to implement a crude method to verify musicians who don’t use AI at all, we need to at least have full transparency that the track was either made by a real human or made by an AI or an Hybrid AI/Human track
I dont remember anything other than the song sampling the movie Legend where Tom Hardy plays twin gangsters. This is the scene sampled.
I missed the Subtronics Eyes Cut Deeper remix competition by a day and have been looking for the stems just to play around with
Could anyone send the download 🙏🙏
His EDC set was fantastic.
Glad to see Tanner back doing his thing.
Visceral was ahead of it's time.
Love his style of blending hip hop into EDM, it feels refreshing in 2026.
Would love to see a Getter b2b Prosecute set, or the more obvious Getter b2b Space Laces
I love Modal Nodes but now theres a million artists out there like this just ripping off the whole style and ruining it, just like artists did with brostep. We dont need everyone doing the clap fills and atmospheric vocal shit that Modal Nodes popularized. This is why genres like Riddim and Briddim get so stale, cause everyone just starts cannibalizing eachother until we all get sick of the sound.
The song starts with some spooky wind noises, it has a ghostly boooooooOOOoo type sound and I think a movie sample that sounds like Gene Wilder saying something like "strange unnatural sounds". I wish I could remember more but it used to be on one of my dubstep playlists and I just can't locate it anymore.
The whole dubstep song has a halloween (holiday, not the movie) spooky vibe to it.
Edit: Found it, N-Type Dark Matter / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA7Kibk2wKs
My brother turned me on to this album recently and I can't stop listening. It's one of the most unique and refreshing albums I've listened to in a while. Not a bunch of tired played out flips and and the same generic pre set bass synths everyone uses. Some actual creativity and you can really tell him and his circle are having fun making unique creative music not trying to play to tiktok or please corporate overlords. I love it please give it a listen.
we’re doing a beach day next weekend with a mix of bassheads and normies for my bday. flow toys will be out! looking for perfect set(s).
my rave family vibe with light-hearted wubby stuff (griz, lsdream, levity, inzo). personally i’ve been into zeds dead, effin, and mary droppinz lately.
skrillex/fourtet/fred again.. is my go-to crowd pleaser, but it’s a bit overplayed for us and i want something different.
want to keep it my taste since it's my bday, but not scare off the normies with too much alien computer noise haha. any suggestions are welcome!! thanks :))
Youtube or soundcloud uploads would be wonderful if anyone's seen any already:
Eazybaked
Boogie T b2b Distinct Motive
Eptic b2b space laces
Charlotte De Witte
Sammy Virji
Was it streamed? Did anybody record? Can I have it pls?
I remember when I first heard this song at work 2 years ago. Prior to that the only Bass music I listened to was Flume and Future Bass and Trap. Spotify put the track in my Discover Weekly. It's the first time really understood the abrasive sound of Brostep. From there I started to listen to all kinds of bass music: early Monstercat, Skrillex, Glitch Hop, etc. So I haven't been a fan for super, very long But what about you?
Does anyone know about this artist or any of his music? I discovered a Great Dane a while ago. I do like a couple of his songs across different albums. His genre is something that I don’t hear often and I’m not even sure if it’s considered bass music. He has a minimal style, but the bass goes super hard.
It’s kind of trap-like and hip-hopesque. I saw a boiler room of his from 11 or so years ago and it seemed like it was not well received by the YouTube crowd or the live audience. He even commented something along the lines of I didn’t realize I had to mix more, and I was just trying to display my beats. I’ve seen that he does house music sets at times as well. The songs I do like are pretty heady, but that’s just me…
Curious what song got everyone into dubstep. My brother used to play Skrillex all the time when I was younger but Virus- Excision was the song that got me fully hooked on dubstep.
