Today I'm waiting on my Nerd light retention holster in emt red and a mag pouch to come. Super excited because it's my first one. My belt arrived 2 days ago from Kore Essentials.
I had to rush the holster here before my range day/birthday next week. Looking forward to practicing with it at the range.

So i went to the range yesterday, not knowing what i was doing, really, to "zero" my osight se on my echelon 4.0 fc. I could not. I after a 100 rounds, I realized 99% of my shot were hitting upper left torso while I had my dot on the forehead/nose area. I didn't actually hit where I aimed until I said fck the dot and aimed with iron sights. Not sure if I was shitty with my adjustments or if it was, at least in part, the gap filler plate i installed under the dot.
Anyone going to Maryland Small Arms today? I'm going to try to zero my red. Be cool to meet some of there. I'll be there between 3 and 330pm
I'm happy it's not a off brand one. I'll test it out as soon as my gun arrives at ffl and the background is complete. I got the last 20rnd mag for the echelon in the store.
So I ended up buying a Springfield Echelon 4.0 FC, the contradiction as I've heard it called. I got it as a base gun, but I now regret not getting a gear up package. Oh well. I plan to grab at least one extra extended mag from VA before the ban and get a lock box before the gun gets here. I bought it from Grabagun, if anyone wants to know.
Just got my ccw and hql. The hql was funny because I applied on a Saturday and was approved Monday evening. I was preparing for it to take at least 2 weeks. Ccw was fast as well. Just over a month, maybe 40 days for everything.
Anyway, I have some ideas on my first gun purchase. I'm bouncing between 2 brands, Canik and CZ. It would be for range, home defense, and edc until I purchase more. Before I do that, I need some ideas on good lock boxes that I can keep in the house and the car. Everyone isn't totally in on the idea so I'll start with safe storage.
