"The road with no return" (Italian) is missing two stories

In the beginning of the book It says that two stories were omitted by the author's explicit request: "Something ends, something begins" and "the dust of battle" (or something to that effect since I don't believe there is an official English translation).

Does anyone know why? And are they excluded from all other translations?

Joystick grips coming off

The grip on my left joystick is getting ready to pop off. I haven't been particularly rough with it, but it has seen a fair bit of use. Is it worth it to upgrade to gulikit sticks (I've never actually opened a device like this): do they feel any better in terms of grip and dead zones? Never had any stick drift on mine, so it wouldn't make much of a difference there. The grips look the same, so I suppose if I keep the deck long enough I'll get the same exact problem again. Should I just try gluing it? Or does anyone have any other solutions?

Edit: it's LCD btw

Physics of the ansible

I'm currently reading TLHoD (only other Leguin I've read for now are the first two books of Earthsea) and I have some questions concerning the ansible. Please no spoilers for the plot. I understand it is an impossible plot device necessary to allow effective communication between planets. However, since LeGuin is embracing some concepts of relativity, my question is this: when she says it creates messages simultaneously on both ends, what does she mean?

If it were to mean that if one end uses it after a certain amount of time, then the other end gets a message after the same amount of time, but in the other frame of reference, this would lead to the paradox that you can communicate with the future: just have some guy travel around at near light speed and return to the planet.

Therefore I would immagine it means that the message is generated after an "equivalent" amount of time (proper time) that depends on the movement of the portable end. So once you leave a planet with the ansible and reach another you are actually communicating with people in the "future" of the starting planet.

I'm no expert on relativity so correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I get that physics isn't the main point of the book, this is just a little thought experiment.
