Overworked, understaffed, underpaid, treated as political chess pieces

How are you surviving? My department is severely understaffed. With Rto, inflation, gas prices, and high cost of living, it's getting increasingly hard to afford to live life or have morale any to work hard. There is so much inequality and corruption. How do people deal with it? Not sure how much people can take. We help the state function but are treated so poorly.

Supervisor unhappy with fmla?

Has anyone had this? I talked with two people, the union member and a friend about fmla for mental health and they both were rude to me, saying I was cheating the system and that I shouldn't be taking it off. They just treated my mental health issues as an 'excuse' and called me lazy. Now, my boss is getting unhappy I'm taking fmla and trying to figure out what condition I have. She's asked a few times indirectly and seems unhappy with me taking leave, saying it'll disrupt the productivity of the team's work. What should I do ir say to her? This is moee stressful than I thought. I can tell she is pretending to he supportive but is very worried

Is it normal to feel suicidal on in office days?

I have to take time off to avoid going in person. Its an hour commute, office in a sketchy area, and the cubicle is just so depressing. I don't dare ask for a reasonable accomodation because I heard theyre not accommodating for my condition.
