hi, I have mild to moderate osteoarthritis in both knees and have my first physical therapy appointment tomorrow. Had steroid injections in both knees 2 days ago. What can I expect from this exercise stuff?

It's going to cost me out-of-pocket about $210 for the initial assessment. I'm looking to get simple exercises I can do at the same time every day preferably on a mat bc my apartment is super small and my pets will likely try to join in.

I understand I will have to alternate muscle groups each day. I'm just the kind of person who needs a daily habit, I wouldn't be able to do something 2 to 3 times a week if that makes any sense.

I'm a tall, thin woman with super long legs and never exercise my quads/hamstrings. When I tie my shoes or bend over to pick something up I always bend at the waist, never squat. I hate bike riding and hate that burning feeling in my quads.

Just thought I'd share my story in case anyone is doing a search for something similar. This past Saturday I was playing tennis and my thumb and two fingers next to it went numb just out of the blue on my non-dominant left hand so I wasn't gripping the tennis racket or doing anything strange with my wrist.

I went to the emergency room and they diagnosed me with median nerve damage and told me to follow up with an orthopedic specialist. I saw the specialist yesterday and he told me I have classic carpal tunnel syndrome. He performed a brief ultrasound to make sure there wasn't a ganglion cyst or anything pressing on the nerve. I have none of that. He also manipulated my hand and wrist to test for carpal tunnel, tapping, etc.. He told me if the numbness doesn't subside within a month with night bracing and taking ibuprofen that he'll refer me to a hand specialist to do the guided Cortizone injection and potentially surgery if the Cortizone shots don't work. I had no pain, no numbness nothing leading up to this situation. I've never been pregnant. I have zero underlying health conditions and my fingers have remained between 76% numb and 98% numb. I have no pain just numbness, internal vibration in the fingers and tingling electric zaps.
