I've seen some posts and ranking that say that arch linux is for advanced linux users.
i began 1 year ago with linux mint and two months ago i hopped to cachyOS, and 3 weeks ago my mum bought me a cheap used thinkpad and I installed arch on it using archinstall and then i proceeded to customize it myself via archwiki and deepseek.
I sometimes see bread on penguins and think "Wow she's incredible"
I memorized a few commands by now, although I knew some shell scripting and programming because I'm an auxiliary IT technician in my country, that has never worked formally on an IT job.
I'm studying on my bachelor's degree on psychology, because that's what i would like to do as a job, so I don't have all the time in the world.
I think that arch is for users who find the joy in fiddling with computers and are willing to put the time and effort into reading the docs also trying and making mistakes.
I personally, also began using linux because of the FOSS nature of it and because I love helping people that complain that their PC is slow and/or are planning on throwing it into the thrash, in that sense I think that GNU/Linux & FreeBSD contribute to build a more ecology based planet and in the finding of other means of production.
