# 📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: WAPP SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY 📢

As I’ve been mentioning previously, the app has been causing constant issues. I’ve been trying to fix them, but between my lack of available time and the sheer amount of errors and headaches this is generating, **Wapp will no longer continue.**

### What does this mean?

* Both the servers and the Wapp project itself will cease to exist.

* I honestly see no point in keeping the app online in this state, nor do I think it’s a pleasant or comfortable experience for anyone to use right now.

### Important Clarifications

* **No Open Source / No Sale:** The app will **not** become open-source, nor will it be sold or handed over.

* **Permanent Shutdown:** This is not temporary, nor is it a maintenance break. This is an official, permanent farewell to the project. I have no plans to continue working on it in the future.

* **Server & Repository Deletion:** Both this Discord server and the GitHub repository will be permanently deleted over the course of this week, as there is no reason to keep them without the app.

I want to genuinely thank everyone who used and enjoyed Wapp. Despite all the bugs and technical hurdles, I feel that in many ways it achieved what I set out to build. Thank you to everyone who supported the project and kept negative criticism aside. I would love to recommend alternative apps, but I don't really know enough of them to give solid suggestions.
