Meet the Cephi

Have you ever wondered how a Mass Effect Reaper Leviathan would look if it was made by Fisher Price?

Silly me, I forgot to credit u/Serious_Cry_4930 for the cockpit angle idea. It's angled up by 30 degrees so that I can hide the other eyes and isolate the bubble. Hard to fly, but looks cool from the outside.

Meet the Resplendent

This ship is a kit-bash of aesthetics that I am referring to as the RES mash-up (hence, RESplendent):

RelevantFinance (me), EthanIsBlessed (u/EthanIsBlessed), and SeriousCry (u/Serious_Cry_4930)

Specifically, my knack for angles/verticals and desire for dramatic silhouettes, Ethan's affinity for rear-angled arm-wings, and SeriousCry's pincers from his SaK-09, with a sprinkle of his attention to greeblie and seam blending.

This has been the most technically difficult build I have done so far. I had to refresh myself on tilt angles by referring to Charles Stoot's guide on the matter. The rear of this ship was an absolute pain in the ass. On a psoitive note, tilts are now way easier for me.

Hope you all love it!!

Meet the Hauer, with drones Roy & Batty

The spiritual successor and kid brother to the Rutger. I have tried and failed to make a ship with a dockable drone, so I am thrilled to finally get it done. I only have enough parts to deploy one drone. Hope you love this ship and its implied lore as much as I do.

Shout out to u/Serious_Cry_4930 for pushing me to do the docked photos to enhance the storytelling and initial readability of the ship.

Meet the Yautja

Named after the warrior species we call Predators. The ship kind of reminds me of the bone helmet that the feral predator wears in the Prey movie.

I wanted a ship that featured exterior negative space and a smooth flow of the hull wrapping around the engines. I'm definitely going to explore this design space some more, it's fun.

Shout out to u/Serious_Cry_4930 for turning me onto the light panels I used in the negative space.

Meet the Targe

Named after the Scottish shields, this ship is a clean, roomy multi-purpose ship that is move-in ready! Cool bonus feature on this one is how I decorated the empty space between the habs and the hull to give it some cool innards. Very neat if I may say so myself.

Meet the Harper

My third ship with the Echelon engine array. The versions that have the left and right engines exists, because u/Serious_Cry_4930 wanted them. They grew on me and gave the ship a firefly-esque charm. Hope you like the ship in its many iterations.

Meet the Skoblikova

Say hello to the Hot Pocket engine--well, a version of it at least. They're the flat engines on the skate. Also, a variant of the new Box Engine is used on the cabin. Hope you like the ship and the lore.

Lore:

Named after the Russian speed skater, Lidiya Skoblikova, this ship is designed to "skate" along the surface of ice planets that have subsurface oceans, using cutting edge tomographic equipment to map the abyss below the ice crust in search of rich mineral deposits and signs of alien life forms.

Depending on the size of the planet, sorties can range between 2 and 12 ships, each manned by a single crew member. A sortie can map an entire planet in just a few weeks. Ships are made up of two crafts: the skate and the cabin. The two remain attached during transit from the surface to the orbital dock, and vice versa. During subsurface scans, the cabin detaches from the skate, hovering high above in the clouds, monitoring scans for anomalies and swooping down to perform maintenance and instrument calibrations, often in extremely hazardous conditions.

If a planet is deemed lucrative enough, mining crews or biological extraction teams are deployed to the planet.

Meet the NES-Wing

A retro-inspired spaceship. Like if an NES transformed into a spaceship. Inspired by NMS concept art as well as some of u/Talosiano's ships.

This ship marks the debut of my newly designed Box Engine, a new set of wings, and an updated R2 unit (or Arturito, if you're cultured). I even went all out on the interior, so you know I'm super into this ship. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Meet the Shuttlecock

This Echelon Class-5 Bomber Drone (EC-5 BD) was downed, hacked, and re-purposed to drop emergency supplies instead of deadly cluster bombs. It's also been retrofitted with non-lethal weaponry for the purpose of disabling enemy drones, as well as lighting fixtures to give it a friendly face. People lovingly refer to this particular drone as Essie.

I hope you love it like I do!

Meet the Anchurus

Shout out to the HeV-18 by u/Serious_Cry_4930 which inspired this build.

The ship is named after the son of King Midas, who sacrificed himself to save the city of Celaenae from a giant yawning abyss that appeared suddenly in the city, leaping into it on horseback after an oracle had explained to the king that to close it he must throw his most valuable possession into the chasm. King Midas first tried throwing in gold and silver, but it did not work.

Anchurus understood the assignment.

My sci-fi take on this concept is that the yawning abyss is a black hole threatening to swallow the planet of Celaenae. Anchurus pilots his touched-by-gold ship into the black hole, closing it up and saving the people. Instead of dying he is transported to another place altogether, beginning a new adventure in worlds unknown.
