Saint Stage
I want a bit of clarification on Saint Stage. Does Saint Stage make the mage stronger? What I mean is that, when we are introduced to Saint Stage it says that when a spirit host and the spirit achieve 100% resonance, their magic gains the ability to purge malice and kill evil (or something along those lines). During the fight with Zagred, Yuno's incomplete Spirit Dive, like Patry and most other non-arcane mages, was unable to affect magic from the Underworld. Yuno had to use his exceptional mana sensing and control to gather up the dispersed mana from Licht and Lumiere's attack (whose magic had been tainted with negative mana) to create Spirit of Zephyr. Since it's partially made of external mana, it absorbs surrounding mana from things it fails to cut and changes it's properties to cut/erode them. By doing so, Yuno sidestepped the Saint Stage qualifications but in a rather limited manner. He had to achieve Saint Stage in order for his magic to become toxic to devils.
All this is to ask whether he actually got stronger or that rather his magic just gained a new property that makes it toxic to devils and he didn't necessarily get a power up. I am still not entirely sure which happened.
