17 Nissan pathfinder started making this sound. I notice my belt was bad and my tensioner was looking a little bad so I replaced both. Just had the valve cover gaskets replaced from an oil leak that’s why you see some oil there. Sound goes away when I take belt off and run it that way, I thought maybe timing chain or rod knock but I feel it would still be there with belt off. It kind of comes and goes but you don’t hear it when driving only at idle
