Sobeys on Kingston Road is closing August 29. My mom went this morning and saved $100. She bought coffee pods, broth, cat food, Chapman ice cream, other can goods, salad dressings. She said there’s no fresh foods left. She said she also saw employees taking items off the shelves.

She said it’s hard to get a cart. While putting groceries into her car two people asked for her cart.

Heading to Kensington Market next week with my niece (she's 20, I'm in my 50s). Looking for a sit-down restaurant for lunch. neither of us is picky on cuisine, so open to anything. Any favorites in the area?

Has anyone gotten glasses from Specsavers in Ajax? My prescription is really strong (-16), so I'm always a bit nervous about lens quality.

I heard that Ajax Foodmart at 250 Bayly St. W. is closing. Does anyone know when it's supposed to close?

The produce prices were great, but the customer service was always bad.
