A-Z Favorite Quotes - Letter S
Aloha!
Yesterday's quote is from a new speaker! The quote, “Reading is one of my defence mechanisms to not get caught up in the world,” is scarily relatable, at least in my opinion. You can find this Cole Nash quote in chapter 10 of Ruthless Empire.
Today's letter is
S
I'm pretty sure that s is one of the most common letters. Hopefully quotes can be easily found! I'm not sure if it'll work this time, but I gave some advice back at letter f...
Anyway, I need to rant about my freezing fingers. It's cold. I don't even know why. I live in the northern hemisphere, so it's basically summer, for goodness sakes! I should be warm, not cold! Oh, dear. I can feel my joints getting stiff. Hopefully it's not because of old age hahaha.
Anyway, another thing about new rules 10 and 11. If you comment a quote from the ineligible characters or books, I'm not going remove them or say "ABSOLUTELY NO QUOTES FROM _______." The main goal of this game series is to dig up old quotes and share them with the rest of the fans. Rules 10 and 11 only make your quote ineligible to win.
I think that's all for today!
Rules:
1, Quote must start with the letter of the day.
2, Short, sweet, and simple. (Read above)
3, If the main comment has a short quote and you would like to add a tidbit at the end, you can put it in the reply.
3a, Repeated comments will be removed. This includes those with repeated starting quotes but with extra at the end. Put it in the comment reply.
4, Main language is English. If the quote is in a different language in the English version, e.g. a Russian saying, that is allowed.
5, Please include the book title and character for reference.
6, No NSFW.
7, One to two word nicknames are allowed but highly discouraged. Add something following it to be more specific.
8, Ties will end with double winners.
9, Don't downvote.
"Soft" rules:
- No more than 3 quotes per character
10a. Characters who have hit the maximum: Nikolai Sokolov, Yulian Dimitriev
11, No more than 4 quotes per book
11a. Books who have hit the maximum: God of Fury
"Soft" rules note: you can still comment quotes from ineligible characters/books. However, they cannot win!
Bye for now! Gotta go warm my freezing fingers haha
Edit: 'Twas bored yesterday and made a LOG crossword puzzle. It's not actually related to any plot points, I was just bored and wanted to make something that anyone could do for the most part. Some of them are kinda silly, but I didn't know what else to do here is the link
