No sé...

JAJAJAJAJAJA. No me dejen en Ghost plis, conversen conmigo

Which FMCs have the strongest character? Which are forgettable?

I find that the FMCs sometimes are so bland and replaceable in RKs books. But she's had a few that had so much character and grit that you can't help but love them.

Top tier FMCs:

- Mia

- Ava

- Silver

- Sasha

Forgettable (FMCs that can be replaced in the book and the story would barely change - MMCs carried the book)

- Glynn

- Cecy (I know I'll get hate for this 😭)

- Kimberly

- Violet

Thoughts? What's your list?

I AM GOING MADDDD!! HELP PLEASE

I need help before this book slump wins. 😭

I'm at that point where I need to read something because when I'm not reading, my brain starts feeling weird. But every book I pick up ends up feeling boring, and I DNF it.

For reference, some of my all-time favorites are God of Fury (still obsessed) and the entire Legacy of Gods series by Rina Kent. I also loved fantasy like Sarah J. Maas, but right now I'm craving dark romance.

I want something that's addictive from page one, high tension, amazing chemistry, a memorable MMC, FMC with a backbone and a story that keeps me thinking about it when I'm not reading. I don't mind morally grey or completely unhinged characters as long as the book is actually engaging.

I've tried some L.J. Shen books, but they just didn't keep my attention the way Rina Kent's books do.

My only hard limits are cheating and sharing/reverse harem.

Please recommend the books that had you staying up until 3 a.m. because you physically couldn't put them down. I'm desperate. 😭

What happened to Preston's mom?

I mean I know she died and his father married Lilith but after reading tempting venom I could not find out how and why does Preston have mommy issues?

Gow had so much potential

I feel like rina just wanted to get done with gow and eli ava.

The book is definitely not something that was planned at the start of log and she completely lost interest or was holding back.

She had the chance to give THE book of the log series bt clearly missed it, gow just wasn't it.

There were so many why and how moment at least for me.

It felt completely off and detached from rest of the series ktv felt more like the part of log that gow.

What was rina's first draft of the book?

I also think if she completed log with GOF and gave us a duet for eli ava it would have been so much better.

Still eli as the husband was chefs kiss and my girl ava bro her character had so much more she would be a lot more like Preston I terms of pov.

Anybody else feel that Cole was lobotomized in God of War?

He was getting verbally put down too much by Eli and Aiden to the point I wonder where all the "observation skills" went. I am pretty sure that if it was the Cold Nash of Ruthless Empire, he would have secretly observed and discovered the truth behind Ava's marriage pretty quick. Also his internal monologue read borderline identical to Xander's.

Does Kayden love their partner the most out of everyone else?

I saw this post on tik tok what do you think about this? If you don’t agree who do you think loves their partner the most out of any rina Kent book?

Nikolai

CAN WE APPRECIATE THE PAGES UPON PAGES OF DIALOGUE OF NIKOLAI SPEAKING TO HIS DICK?? 😭😭

like MAN. Ever since i read a rina kent book I've been dying to see niko as one of the two leads. I KNEW he was gonna absolutely be the most hilarious mind numbingly funny lead to read about ever. BUT THIS??? One page in and the first words uttered out of his mouth is him retelling the story of his first erection and him calling his dick a gun and pointing it at everyone in the mansion?? Now that's just peak comedy right there. Then the "fuck no you fucking fuck"

'he twitches again as saying fuck yeahh'

"What the fuck are you a masochist??"

GOD PLEASE HELP ME I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING

My opinions on Hunt the Villain

So I recently finished the book and here are my thoughts :3

  1. I LOVE vaughn. he is just so likeable to me in an understated sort of way. I've been liking him since I read about him in LoG, he intrigued me being the white mask in the heathens and i wanted a book for him. I'm really into the cold, mysterious, tough, stoic type of men. his inner monologue didn't make him seem too cold, or maybe that's just me. he is rather adorable in a way i can't explain. like you know how he's always caring for yulian in his own ways? it melts my heart every time. i love how he's got a soft side and i love when it comes out through his little actions. he's my most favorite RK man.
  2. i don't like yulian very much. firstly he seems to think with his dick way too much and it reminds me of nikolai. i dislike reading the repetitive horny thoughts. it's very annoying to me. but yulian is more tolerable than nikolai at least. also, these two characters are very violent, which kind of seems unrealistic. i can't imagine how physically draining and exhausting it must be. the way they seem to enjoy so much violence is odd and jarring to me and i don't like it. but i did feel very bad for yulian, poor guy had an awful home life and what he went through is so heartbreaking :(
  3. i love when Vaughn tops 🤤 it's just sexy to see him assert dominance over Yulian, who's extremely dominant himself.
  4. I love their first meet at 15 years old. This makes the story so much more heart-touching and deep and emotional for me. It melts me every time. Vaughn having tiny moments of jealousy, then him getting protective and upset over Yulian being abused by Yaroslav, and then caring for Yulian in the cave, saying "Я с тобой" (i'm with you) . . . all of it was really touching. i loved every moment between them. and the kiss oml...my babies 😭😭so adorable and awkward and young and crushing over each other.
  5. when vaughn followed yulian, who jumped off the cliff, it was genuinely so romantic for me. i know it's not something too special or sexy, but this is one of my most favorite parts of the book.
  6. i think it was kind of heavy on smut. i don't like too much smut and dirty talk, but hey at least they love each other ig, so i can't say anything else. at least the smut was balanced out with the emotional moments this time (unlike her other books).
  7. love seeing vaughn get possessive and jealous. when he was so ready to kill yulian's hypothetical wife near the end of the book it was lowkey funny to me.
  8. cyrus and yulian's bond is nice. love how cyrus was so protective over yulian and threatened to kill vaughn over yulian.

anyway that's all :3 i give the book a 4.5/5 stars. enjoyed it a lot.

This art for Kiss the Villain should have been the original cover of the book.

Wow, this fantastic art makes me want to read it all over again.

just for fun: was re-reading and it just occurred to me, can an 8 year old really think THAT deep? 🤣

I mean… I’m seriously wondering. I checked and found out Aiden in Tempted by Deception is 7. Marcus is Tempting venom is also 7. They felt normal, but Cole and Aiden’s younger POV… I’m speechless. Is it possible? Or is this purely fictional.

Why is Niko portrayed as a sidekick to Jeremy so much?

I haven’t read all the books from the mafia parents except for monster, deception/lies duet. So I definetly know of the legacy Vaughn and Jeremy will carry. But if I’m not mistaken Niko’s mom has a pretty important and high position herself.

I know Niko’s character is portrayed as being a himbo to maybe counteract Bran’s uptight personality. But I have to say sometimes the author truly doesn’t know when to rein it in. A 4.1 student that barely has to study at a top notch school, not knowing who Zeus is? Let’s be so ffr 😅

That being said knowing his character what dissapoints me most was everything in his brain is fighting. Yes his disorder plays a part in this but he’s hellbent of carrying his legacy yet all he wants is to fight. Even Yulian classifying him as the muscles of the operation. And I’m like hold on he’s literally a mafia prince in his own right with an entire empire to run.

Even at the end of his book it’s like Jeremy is waiting for me in the states. I’m sorry is Jeremy your boss? Idk it’s just strange. They make him so “stupid” or second best in literally every book even his own at times. Yet we’re supposed to believe he’s a mafia prince that will be running shit? Ok Rina. Love my Niko down don’t get me wrong but this just aggravates me fr. But maybe I’m missing something 😅😭

Jeremy is the smartest in the entire Series😭

I just read a post where Niko is A+ student but his knowledge doesn't say so 😭 so i thought I would make the same with Jeremy

Jeremy told Cecily that he is an A+ student and doesn't need much effort in academics to achieve that. But somehow his A+ mind couldn't connect the dots to find who is Nikolai dating??

He went with Nikolai to watch lacrosse and he is not suspicious why he is suddenly interested in such game, Jeremy asks Nikolai is the one of the players landon king's twin brother and idk if Niko confirms that but when the opposite team member pushes Brandon and he falls Nikolai curses loudly and Jeremy doesn't ask why is he siding with Brandon😭? Nikolai obviously watches only bran in the entire game and Jeremy doesn't sees that??

What's even worse is that after this Nikolai asks Cecily to give him information about lotus flower and then corrects himself and says Brandon, Jeremy hears everything but doesn't connect dots from earlier 😭😭

And when Brandon hits Nikolai and says it's over between them then Jeremy's soap starts to slide

I am sure he fails his exams he was just flexing in front of cecy😭 even cecy understood there is something going between lan and mia when she saw them like that for first time but Jeremy couldn't

Remi the menace

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the absolute comedy that is remi and the amount of murder threats directed at him IN EVERY SINGLE BOOK.

There hasn't been a singular MMC that didn't threaten to murder remi at one point or another. All because of one comment "he's really funny"

Or mia that took it a step further "he's funny and fun" . Though while all the other MMCS made threats and got pissed and etc. the absolute menace that is landon proceeded to make anarchy about it literally the next page 😭

While i know everyone hates landon and I'm supposed to be like upset about his morally fucked up thoughts and behaviors i can't help but adore the fucker💔

He's just the most cutthroat intense idiotic menace out there in all the right ways and I'm here for it
