Incoming freshman here!

How’s the social life at UCSC? and how hard/easy is it to get to small towns or downtown UCSC if i wanted to get some food or just shop or hang out with my friends?

Since UCSC is pretty isolated up in the woods, im honestly really worried that it’ll feel too secluded and suffocating without any fun. Please help☹️

Im an incoming freshman and got placed into College 9 and I was wondering how dorm life is actually like over there!?!? How are the communal restrooms like--as it seems that no one talks about it even though I feel that its a pretty important aspect of living on campus--and what is there to do/eat around there!?!? I was suppose to tour the school a couple of times but each time I had something come up that prevented me actually going so I’m kinda nervous in that aspect </3 If you can tell me somethings that I can expect and/or try to prevent that would be great!!!!!

Is August 11th for appointment day really late? Are all the classes that I want already going to be taken?

What classes should i take a as a incoming freshman psych major?

I am also interested in completing my prerequisites for nursing!

If I want to take a nursing pathway when I graduate from my undergraduate at UCSC, what classes should I be taking for my freshman fall quarter?

For one of my classes I was thinking of taking STATS7 since it’s related to statistics biology which I feel like would be useful for nursing(since statistics is a prerequisite for nursing later on). (and also STATS7 is 7 credits because there’s a lab included)
Or should I just take a regular math class like MATH11A?

And also since I passed my AP Literature Exam, there’s no need for me to take Writing 1, so I have a free space to take any class. Should I take any fun looking easy class or should I try to get another prerequisite out of the way?

And I will have my mandatory college class
(college 9).

Please help me out I’m stressing out so hard, it’s so complicated☹️

Does anyone know where to find the “Hazing Education and Prevention” for part of the orientation requirement for the UCSC We are Slugs Assignment?

I have completed the rest of the We are Slugs required assignments (4/5) but I just can’t seem to find the last one. Someone please help.

When does freshman enrollment for classes open?? I see everyone posting their schedules and expected workloads and I’m stressing out if the course enrollments are already open. Also how does everyone know what specific classes they need to take?? Please help!

i recently got assigned to c9 at ucsc! and i’m so curious about its location, the dorms, the accessibility, and so much more! could someone please let me know if they have any comments!

so i have submitted/sent my official transcript digitally through a platform called Parchment, an official approved platform by UCSC. I had submitted one a month ago, and another a couple days ago. On Parchment it says that the order was complete, that download was confirmed. (Which would probably indicate that UCSC had downloaded it, right?) However, when I look inside my UCSC portal, it says on my to-do list, that I have yet to submit my official transcript. Someone please help me out, I am major freaking out since the deadline is July 1.
