How can anyone get the idea that Christ will rapture his church before his second coming? From no scripture I've read on the end does it fit. When Jesus speaks of the end in Matt 24, he states that immediately after the tribulations of those days will he return, no where does he say he will come first to remove his church, then retreat back to heaven to then come again later.

"Real preaching will cause people to either hate their sin or hate their preacher"

I saw a very controversial pastor post this and to me this is more of an excuse to excuse bad behavior from pastors than it is actual truth. I agree to an extent, but some just use this line of thought to be rude, unloving, and just overall unpleasant to people. What are your thoughts?
