I'm looking to adopt a puppy, but my fiancé has allergies. I'm pretty much heartbroken that I can't adopt a mutt. I love not knowing exactly what you're getting, and I've always hated the idea of buying a purebred when there are so many great pups of dubious parentage that need homes. But, circumstances being what they are, it seems like we will need to purchase one. I read online that mountain curs and black mouth curs are hypoallergenic, and they seem like a dog I'd really like. But I'm not totally sure I can trust what I'm reading-- it's hard to find a lot of info. Can any cur owners confirm if their dog is/ is not hypoallergenic?
