I am house sitting for a friend and have never used one of these thermostats. I don’t think he has the app, he said his ex set it up. It’s the heat wave, I’m disabled and feel sick from this heat. I have it set on cool and keep turning it down but it’s just getting hotter. Any advice please?? How do I work this thing to make it cool down? I asked him if it was normal, and he said: Yeeeeah I think the house tends to be in “energy save mode” so it’ll run hot in the middle of the day. If it gets too hot for you, turn the dial down. It will get back into cooling mode if you do that. Thanks for the update!
