Had the check engine light come on my 2013 Subaru Outback. Scanned the code and it’s coming back with P0172 System Too Rich Bank 1. Guy at auto zone suggested replacing the mass air flow sensor.

I’ve got 2 questions

Should I be looking for a larger reason this part needs to be replaced? Or is it just something that goes out over time

Should I just go ahead and try to replace it at home or bring it in for more in depth diagnostic? Im pretty handy but don’t do much work on my own car, it does however seem pretty straight forward.

Really would appreciate any advice or thoughts.
