I'm assuming it's because of the xbox controls back in 2010 making aiming too slow and the shitty fps, because I remember I quit this game way back then due to the combat.

Just recently got the original again on PC for around 2 dollars for steam sale. Man, the game was a blast. Felt like Resident Evil 4 with all the hectic encounters lol.

I'm guessing because using a mouse makes aiming so much quicker. I can turn around 180 degrees in a split second in order to blind enemies and turn back around to run.
