Sometimes she just seems sad. Angela, age 6, dachshund

We fostered Angela from a rescue before we adopted her. We‘re not sure why her owner gave her up. Such an incredibly sweet and smart dog but cautious of strangers. She‘s extremely judicious about her personal space. If you call her to come sit next to you, she’ll choose not to probably 2/3 of the time. Loving and cuddly and happy and silly when she feels like it but, there a lot of moments where I feel like she is sad. My wife and I say she’s an enigma. Any insight would be so appreciated

This is St. Martin and Little Richard

St. Martin (grey) was found in the tall grass at St. Martin’s Church and was ALMOST run over by the lawn guy. Miracle *obviously*.

Little Richard (orange) was found on Facebook a few days later when we, impromptu, decided that St. Martin needed a sibling. Vet says they are very close in age but St. Martin was probably the runt of the litter. They play and get into so much mischief, we watch them and call it “the TV show”.

We named the other guy Little Richard because we had a previous cat who was the best goddamn cat I’ve ever known, named Richard, who looked like this.

1st American edition

Very proud of this one. I inherited it as part of a small-ish library along with quite a few other classics, none quite as old or special as this, though.

Hackmanite

The actual glow is slightly more blueish in person but the intensity of what you see here is accurate. This is after about 20 seconds under a small UV flashlight
