Any experience with NiceToMeet or TimeLeft?

Has anyone tried out either Nice To Meet or Time Left? They both seem focused on arranging small social dinners geared towards meeting new people. They are marketed more as a social opportunity than dating-focused. On paper, it sounds good, but I was wondering what kinds of restaurants they select and where they are. I'm in NorthEast Seattle and if the restaurant is in West Seattle, that can be a really long drive in traffic. My Facebook feed is currently filled with ads for these and other similar services, but I'm skeptical, hence this post.

I'm a late 50s widower looking to expand my social circle. I'm also diving more into MeetUp to see what groups there align with my hobbies (IE guitar).

Anyway, thanks for any info you have on either of these.
