Miffy x Lola Digital Camera
Just received my Miffy x Lola digital camera, here are some quick observation based on my very short time with it.
Build Quality is pretty decent, doesn't feel like those cheap plastic disposable but also don't expect Sony/Canon like quality. Should be able to take a few hit and overall I am okay with it.
Software is pretty basic, you have simple controls over exposure, megapixels etc. like a typical early days digital camera would have. Nothing fanciful worth mentioning.
Picture Quality is something I wouldn't expect too much out of. Definitely not as good as modern flagship smartphone but 100% usable enough. There are about 5-6 Miffy filters among the 20-30 generic ones, have to say I was expecting a bit more. Second last photo taken using Miffy Camera and last photo from iPhone 15+ for comparison.
User Experience is abit more finicky. On one hand, all the menus are easily accessible, you don't have complex multi tier sub-menus but on the other, the 4 way navigation button is pretty awful. It doesn't protrude enough for a comfortable experience, resulting in misclicks or having nothing registered.
Miffy-esque is on point! From the box art to the overall unboxing experience, it's super cute! There's a random quote, a postcard, some kind of keychain/lanyard for the camera and a very generic black usb cable. Honestly I was expecting the cable to be abit more Miffy-themed and maybe a sticker as well but oh well.
Overall I would say I am pretty satisfy with this launch. Maybe I am biased, but hey, which Miffy fan isn't? If you are sitting on it, and still doesn't own any digital camera yet, this should fit the gap just nice. But if you are like me, who already own multiple cameras, this is probably a collector's item in my display where I use it occasionally. Hope this helps!
