Fwahaha... This cleanup trip was amazing! Why don't we do it again, Kris?
Things have been relatively quiet around here lately, but the other day you and I were thinking back to a trip we tooknot too long ago. It was back before...
Well, back before everything started getting really intense with Kris’s health and before all these sudden changes started showing up ██████ decided to take Kris and me on a short trip over to her homeland. She didn't want to make a big spectacle out of it, so we kept things very quiet and low-key.
I’ve never been to a place quite like it. The air there felt entirely different from Hometown, a bit heavier, warmer, and filled with smells I couldn't quite place. We were staying near a bustling residential area, full of bright brick houses, narrow streets, and yellow transit buses constantly winding around sharp corners.
Some of the neighbors started yelling in a language I cannot understand, I honestly couldn't understand most of the specific words they were throwing around, but the tension in the air was terrifying.
Fahaha... You and I were just walking along the sidewalk near a small neighborhood park while ██████ was taking care of some errands nearby. The evening was warm, and people were sitting outside on plastic chairs, listening to music or chatting loudly. But suddenly, two men near a corner shop started shouting at each other at the top of their lungs.
At first, I thought they were just having a passionate argument about local sports or something! But then... one of them grabbed a giant portable speaker and smashed it onto the pavement!
You immediately pulled me back behind a concrete pillar to watch. My heart was pounding so fast, I’m really not used to seeing people get so aggressive in public! The two men started swinging at each other right there in the middle of the street. One of them got hit so hard he started bleeding from his face, and the other guy ran inside a house nearby and started breaking things inside!
██████ walked up behind us a few minutes later, completely unfazed, holding a bag of hot fried corn pastries. She just looked at the brawl, sighed, and muttered something under her breath about how "the local authorities never handle these extremists properly" and how "this place is heading straight toward a dictatorship" before calmly offering us a snack.
You take a pastry without missing a beat, staring intently at the whole commotion while chewing slowly. Fahaha... back at Hometown, the worst public disturbance we ever get is when someone leaves trash near the lake or when Berdly argues too loudly at the library. Experiencing something so chaotic in a completely foreign place was certainly an eye-opener!
You looked at me while we walked back, tapped my hand gently, and gave me that subtle, reassuring nod they always do whenever I get visibly anxious. Even in a weird city halfway across the world, just having Kris beside me made everything feel a little safer.
And then, what looked like the local police finally pulled up to the curb.
They weren't wearing the kind of uniform I'm used to seeing back home, no polished dark blues or neatly tailored jackets. Instead, two officers stepped out of a green-and-black motorcycle squad wearing fluorescent yellow and dark green vests with reflective stripes, looking thoroughly exhausted before they even offloaded from their vehicle.
By the time they actually managed to walk toward the scene, the man who had done all the damage had already ducked back into his house and slammed the iron gate shut. The officers stood outside near the sidewalk, casually talking to the neighbors while holding small notebooks, but they didn't even attempt to open the gate or go inside.
██████ watched the whole exchange with a bitter look on her face, crossing her arms tightly as she took another bite of her pastry. She muttered quietly to us about how utterly useless the system here is, explaining that because the man was technically inside a private residence, the officers wouldn't dare break down the door without a proper judicial warrant, even after witnessing a public assault. She shook her head in disgust, making a passing comment about how the current political figures leading the country were just enabling this kind of impunity, quietly comparing their heavy-handed, autoritarian policies and rhetoric while doing absolutely nothing to actually protect people
I didn't really get most of the things ██████ was referring to, but hearing her talk about it with such quiet anger made the air feel even heavier than before.
...
About half an hour passed while we waited nearby, just watching the street slowly try to return to normal. The green-and-black motorcycle squad eventually packed up their notebooks, mounted their bikes, and rode off into the morning heat, leaving the crowd to scatter back to their plastic chairs and quiet conversations.
For a moment, it felt like the danger had passed.
...But then the metal gate scraped against the pavement.
The same man stepped back out into the open street. He wasn't yelling anymore, which somehow made it so much worse. He was looking around with a strange, fixed expression, clutching something heavy in his right hand as he started marching deliberately toward the corner shop where the other person had fled. He was clearly looking to finish what he started, and there wasn't a single officer left in sight to stop him.
Kris, I saw the way you tensed up immediately, your eyes narrowing as you took a small step forward in front of ██████ and me. The whole atmosphere on the block went dead silent, like everyone was holding their breath, waiting to see what was about to happen...
And then... He pulled out a long, kitchen-style knife, clutching it tight in his fist as he broke into a frantic, heavy sprint down the narrow street. He was shouting something loud and slurred, his voice raw with fury;I couldn't understand a single word he was saying, but the terrifying intent behind his tone needed no translation at all.
I gasped and instinctively ducked behind you, my hands grabbing the fabric of your sweater as my heart hammered against my ribs.
... it didn't help that people on the street were already staring at us. Even before the man pulled out the knife, I noticed several locals glancing over from their doorways, their eyes wide as they whispered to each other while looking at my antlers and fur. I suppose seeing a giant deer girl standing next to two humans on a sidewalk in the middle of their neighborhood isn't exactly a everyday sight for them... but right then, I was too terrified to even feel self-conscious about it.
I squeezed my eyes shut for a second, clutching your arm tighter, completely terrified that the man with the knife was going to turn the corner and notice us... Even though I then remember that ██████ is with us and she'll have our backs if anything happens, I'm such a silly, scared little doe, aren't I? Fwahaha.
We decided to keep moving to get away from the immediate commotion, turning the corner and walking along Cl. 19. The air was still thick and humid, filled with the distant sounds of barking dogs and car engines, but my legs were still trembling with every step. I kept holding onto your hand, relying on your steady grip to keep me grounded.
...But just a few minutes later, as we reached a slightly darker stretch of the street, the shadow appeared again.
It was that same guy, still holding the knife, muttering incoherently to himself as he paced back and forth near a darkened storefront like a frantic animal, still searching for the man he wanted to attack.
I froze dead in my tracks, my tail twitching nervously as I pulled you back. But this time... ██████ stopped, too.
She usually seems so laid-back and quiet in public, always smiling, cracking weird jokes, or acting sweet, so seeing her expression completely flatten was genuinely terrifying. Her usual cheerful eyes went totally hollow, and for a second, the purple tint in her hair almost seemed to pulse under the sunlight.
*"I am so tired of these pathetic, violent men ruining everyone's day," she whispered. Her voice wasn't loud, but it was so cold and razor-sharp that my heart nearly stopped.
Before you or I could even react, the ground beneath our feet gave a tiny, subtle shudder. ██████ took a single step toward him, and suddenly the quiet neighborhood night felt like a storm waiting to explode...
......
What happened next... Kris, I've never seen anything like it.
Before the man even realized she was there, ██████ closed the distance between them in a flash, faster than my eyes could even track. In one fluid, terrifying motion, she grabbed him right by the front of his shirt with just one hand.
The knife slipped out of his fingers and clattered loudly against the pavement, but he didn't even have time to reach for it. ██████ lifted him clean off his feet, this huge, heavy man, and slammed him back-first into the brick wall of the storefront with a sickening CRACK!
The man’s violent aura vanished in an instant, replaced by total, panicked desperation. He started sobbing, his voice trembling as he babbled in that language I couldn't understand, his hands frantically clawing at her arm, practically begging her for mercy. But ██████ didn't even blink. Her face stayed completely blank, her eyes cold and empty as she stared right through him, holding him up like he weighed nothing at all.
Fahaha... I knew ██████ was strong, but seeing her use that kind of raw, brutal force right in front of us... it sent a chill straight down my spine, all the way to my tail.
You didn't step in, Kris. You just stood there beside me, watching her with that quiet, unreadable look in your eyes, keeping yourself firmly between the chaos and me...
██████ leaned in close to his face, her voice dropping into a low, terrifying whisper. I couldn't understand the exact words she was saying to him, but the pitch of her tone was so dark, so cold and demonic, that the man stopped pleading altogether and just froze, paralyzed by pure horror.
Then, she picked up the knife from the ground.
What followed... Kris, I know I should have looked away. I know any normal person would have covered their eyes, screamed, or ran as fast as they could. But I... I couldn't tear my eyes away.
She didn't just strike him; she was precise, methodical, and completely relentless. ██████ began to slice into him bit by bit, carving into his arms and legs with a terrifyingly effortless pressure. Her movements were fueled by a weird, overwhelming force that felt far beyond normal human strength. Blood started pouring out, liters of deep crimson splashing against the dull grey pavement and staining the brick wall behind him.
Every time the man let out one of those blood-curdling screams, ██████ would respond by severing even more, cutting deeper into his limbs as if his agony was only pacing her movements. The sound of his shrieks echoed down the empty street, bouncing off the shuttered storefronts until his voice began to crack and weaken from the sheer trauma.
Fwahaha... it’s strange, isn't it? On those late, quiet nights in my room, when I’m scrolling through the darkest, strangest corners of the internet where nobody is watching me... I’ve seen horrible, disturbing things on screen. But seeing it happen right in front of us, feeling the metallic smell of blood heavy in the warm air... there was this bizarre, unsettling intensity to it all that made my chest feel completely tight.
I buried my face against your shoulder, shaking uncontrollably, but my heart was beating so fast, Kris... I was terrified, yet completely mesmerized by how absolute her lack of mercy was.
...
Fahaha... the human body really is fascinating, isn't it?
Over the next few minutes, ██████ slowly and methodically took him apart piece by piece right there on the dark sidewalk. Her fists hit with unimaginable, crushingly heavy force, alternating with precise, brutal slices of the blade. First, she sliced what was between his legs into tiny, unrecognizable bits, (including his BALLS and his thing...), eliciting a sound from him that barely even sounded human anymore. Then, with that supernatural power behind her every movement, she cleanly severed his arms and legs, the limbs hitting the pavement with dull, heavy thuds as blood gushed out like a broken pipe.
She slammed her fists into his face dozens of times, caving in the bone until his shrieks dissolved into wet, choked gurgles. And finally, without even touching him, she used her mind to sever his head clean off his shoulders, sending a massive, violent jet of deep red spraying high into the air, painting the street and the brick wall in crimson.
When the carnage finally stopped, the silence that settled over this street was deafening.
██████ wiped a small splash of blood from her cheek, turning around to face us. Her expression had shifted into this completely unhinged, wide-eyed look of pure joy and absolute satisfaction.
*"Well," she said, her voice cheerfully bright as if nothing unusual had happened at all.
*"maybe the leftover meat from this little fash can actually be put to good use and feed someone who needs it."
Without missing a beat, she pulled out a heavy-duty food storage bag and calmly began packing the gruesome, dripping remains of the man inside it.
Kris, I turned to look at you, and for the first time in as long as I can remember, I saw real, genuine terror written all over your face. You were completely paralyzed, your eyes wide and pale as you stared at the bloody scene. As for me... I was in total shock, too, but... fahaha... a strange, thrilling warmth was washing over me instead.
██████ noticed how frozen you were, Kris. She casually wiped her hands on a napkin, stepped closer, and leaned in to press a quick, reassuring kiss right on your lips.
I just stood there with my mouth slightly open, my tail twitching nervously, absolutely awestruck by the sheer, unfiltered dominance, ██████ had just displayed right before our eyes.
*"Don't worry about it, sweetheart," she murmured in that soft, gentle voice of hers, completely breaking the horrifying atmosphere from just a few seconds ago.
*"It's just a bit of routine cleanup. Someone had to take out the trash~"
She turned to me next, leaning up to plant a soft kiss on my cheek, leaving a faint, warm sensation that made my ears flush bright red. The contrast between this and the grotesque pile of meat sitting in a bag at her feet was completely insane... but fahaha, I couldn't help but smile a little.
After securing the heavy bags, we walked further into a dark, labyrinthine neighborhood, a part of the city where the streetlights were mostly broken and the alleys smelled of damp concrete and old smoke. ██████ led us directly to a quiet, unmarked doorway behind an old butcher shop, where a tall, gaunt man was waiting in the shadows. He was a very... specialized epicurean, someone who exclusively enjoyed refined, highly alternative cuts of meat.
██████ proudly handed over the bags, expecting him to be thrilled with the fresh delivery. But as soon as the man unzipped the top and took a single whiff, his face twisted into pure, unadulterated disgust.
*"Are you serious with this?" he spat, tossing the bag back toward her. "
*This meat is completely ruined! It's bitter, tough, and practically rotting from the inside out with pure arrogance!"
He went on a long, frustrated rant about how the current national leadership ██████ has told me about that loud, bombastic man who recently took over the countryhad completely flooded the streets with these reckless, toxic types who wander around doing whatever they want.) Apparently, for people with such... exquisite and specific tastes, finding decent, high-quality local yield had become an absolute nightmare because the political climate was making everyone's meat taste like sour garbage.
██████ just stood there, looking profoundly disappointed and annoyed that her gruesome little present had been rejected over something as ridiculous as bad flavor quality.
Kris, you were still clinging tightly to my hand, looking completely bewildered by the whole exchange, while I had to bite my lip to keep from bursting into a nervous laugh. Fwahaha... who knew even long-time connoisseurs had such strict standards?
...
*Some days later...
Fahaha... so after all that strange, bizarre frustration in the city, we finally made our way back to Hometown.
Stepping back into the familiar, quiet chill of our town felt almost surreal after everything that happened. The soft wind of the coming spring, the predictable hum of the streetlamps, and the total lack of chaotic street brawls made the whole trip feel like some kind of intense, feverish dream.
Though... if you're wondering what ██████ actually ended up doing with those heavy storage bags since that picky connoisseur turned them down... well, fahaha... she didn't let them go to waste! She spent the next afternoon turning the whole yield into a massive batch of heavily seasoned, extra-spicy dried jerky. She even packed a couple of unlabeled little ziplock bags of it into our luggage for the trip home, claiming that "a little extra protein never hurt anyone on a long flight." I haven't quite brought myself to try a piece yet, but watching her snack on it so casually while reading a book on the way back was... certainly something!
Kris... I know it sounds completely unhinged, and I know how terrifying it was to watch in the moment... but looking back at it now from the safety of home, my heart still skips a beat thinking about it.
That was actually kind of amazing, Kris... As totally twisted and dark as it was, maybe... just maybe... we could go with her on another little round of "cleanup" again someday, fwahaha!
