Student Milestones for Class

What milestones/skills do you expect/hope/teach towards for your students to learn?

My studio does teacher reports but there’s no set requirement for any but ballet so I was curious what yall look for to say “yes this is a met skill” for ages and styles

Hope this made sense! Been up all night trying to work this out myself lol

What do yall do with the costume catalogues you don’t need anymore?

I’ve got a bunch of these I don’t need anymore and was wondering what you all do with them. Display, recycle, keep, send back??

Here’s a bit of a controversial one…

What are y’all’s opinions on kids wearing makeup for stage? What do you consider acceptable or age appropriate? Talk about your experiences! I’m curious

How close to the concert do yall release tickets?

Doing and end of year performance and want to give families enough time to save and plan, while also not being too far ahead. It’s in December so is October ok?

Costume help: preschool boy ballet

I’m trying to find a kids blue prince jacket for a 4 year old. None of the usual costume websites I use have anything and I don’t particularly want something off AliExpress or Temu.

If anyone has any links please put below!!

Spell to…get new house??

Idk how to phrase this properly, it’s 4am and I can’t sleep lol ANYWAYS!

Partner and I have applied for a few new places to rent. One of which is absolutely perfect, and I was wondering if anyone has any specific spells or similar things that could help us get it?

Or help us get like…a similar just-as-good place? (As in, it’s in the perfect location, perfect bathroom and rooms in general for our growing family)

Baby Jazz dance song suggestions?

So…I don’t have kids. I don’t know what’s ‘hip’ with 4 year olds. Most of the songs I use in class are Disney or similar things I grew up watching/watched when siblings were that age.

So like…I guess what soundtracks or songs would be good for the kids to dance to for their end of year? I want something they’ll at least have heard before, ya know?

Does anyone know the translation?

I know it’s for the fake game show ‘nutcracker’ but I was curious to see if that’s what this actually translates to. Anyone know? I tired looking it up myself but didn’t get anywhere

Bluey and Plurality

Just had a session with my therapist and we talked about something that might help others.

We’re still new and we’re talking about a conflict we had in Headspace. Doc mentioned thinking of our system as a family dynamic and how if there’s a need, doing a “thank you. But can you think of a way this can be done/met differently?”

Which reminded me of a Bluey episode. Got thinking then about how a lot of Bluey episodes could help with similar things. Instead of watching it going “ah that’s how I wanted to be parented/how I wanted my childhood to be/how I want to be as a parent” thinking “this is how I could be with XYZ/I should try this with ABC” sort of thing.

I hope this made sense im not the best with writing thoughts

We have a little in our system, Star, who owns a few irl dolls and things. But she doesn’t…play with them?

She says it feels weird since the body is early 20’s and it’s almost like we’ve forgotten how to play with dolls.

Any tips for this? Or anyone else experience this?
