OCs Introduction: The Zythers!
Renz: Hello Everybody! Renzo here and today I'll be telling you about a set of OCs I've had which are called Zythers!
Now, I'll be discussing their lore right here today, starting with how the Zythers are considered Zythers! They have a condition called "Onyx Calcification" in where when they are born, they are born with onyx buds that when it blooms it starts spreading the onyx onto the skin of the body. It cannot be spread by any means unless if you get married with the Carrier or get hit hard enough by the Carrier.
Now let's start with the first one:
Carrie Zyther!
She has an Onyx Scythe Arm as her specialty as well as an Onyx Eye that she got when she got smacked by her twin brother. She's optimistic and energetic but gets bored way too fast. Her combat skills are average combined with her great agility. Too bad she's quite fragile when she doesn't defend with her Scythe Arm.
Fun Facts:
She used to be a John Doe skin Concept, then she turned into a killer concept and then she was put onto other fandoms too such as Dandy's World and Danganronpa.
Her earlier designs feature her having a blade ponytail that she can flail around to slash her enemies. However, it looked kinda bad on her and I decided to just give her short hair just like when I first drew her. She also used to be red instead of blue since she used to be a JD skin concept.
She's the oldest sibling at the age of 37 along with her Twin Brother.
Now onto the next one, Carrie's Twin Brother:
Azavine Zyther!
He's a big man with big Onyx Arms. He has a Tree Branch on his left arm that produces a fruit only he can eat, otherwise it's very poisonous and could kill you in an instant. He also has a Hammer on his right arm that is very, VERY heavy. Since he has both arms covered in Onyx, his capabilities are lowered to the point where having to do simple tasks like drinking from a cup is hard for him. He's considered as a heavy fighter when in combat, offering great offensiveness while being slow but quite tanky.
Fun Facts:
He was based off Vineria and Mr. Tree from Sprunki, hence the horns and the Tree Vibes.
He's actually bald. He's just using Vines and Leaves as a wig to cover his baldness.
Despite looking older and taller than Carrie, he's actually born 3 minutes after Carrie was born, making him the younger twin between the two.
And here we have the parents:
Recrux Zyther and Ivorius Zyther!
Their Onyx Calcifications are much more simpler, atleast for the likes of Recrux. He has his forearms covered in Onyx Spikes and he can land devastating blows if he's motivated enough. Despite his mean looks, he's actually quite sweet and is even willing to protect his own family even if it costs his life.
Now Ivorius however, I'd say she got the worst out of all of them. Before she was married to Recrux, she was a Sheil, and Sheils also had something special called "Divine Astron" which gives them the abilities of space as well as extra body parts to help them control their powers. Now, here's where it goes bad, because the Zyther Condition and the Sheil condition are not compatible at all and because of that, the Zyther condition will try to destroy what the Sheil Condition has done. She hasn't lost her powers thankfully, but the conflict was so bad that her extra arms got crumbled into Onyx dust and she is now on her last extra arm. She's the most powerful out of all the Zythers, being able to cause Armageddon whenever she wanted to but she can't control her powers as well as she used to in the past due to the Zyther Condition screwing her physical body up.
Fun Facts:
Recrux works as a soldier in the military and everyone respects him there despite being different from many humans and having quite odd manners. He's also based from Guest 1337 from The Last Guest.
Recrux is what I'd say as the "Renz" of the Zyther group. Basically what that means is that he's the one that is the most similar to my first ever OC, Renzo Xenterenio. Other ones that fall onto this category is Rockion the Rock Scorpion in Dandy's world and Percy the Ice Angel in The Battle Bricks.
Ivorius actually has the same eyes as the Mantis Shrimp despite looking like a blind woman.
Ivorius and the other Sheils are based on the Periastrons if y'all haven't figured that out.
Ivorius can speak only in Greek
You thought that was over? Carrie still has other younger siblings y'know?
Introducing:
Spinel Zyther!
Now her calcification formation is quite interesting since the Onyx has calcified her legs onto a Spider Body. She can still function as normal (unlike the likes of Carrie and Azavine), she's just gonna need more than a pair of shoes now. She's the fastest of the bunch thanks to her Spider Legs and she can actually pull off some sick combos when fighting!
Fun Facts:
She has a husband named Spencer Ambrosium (who is an actual spider) and she also has a kid named Spid Ambrosium
Despite being married, she likes to keep her name as "Spinel Zyther" as a way of honoring her family.
She actually was planned to be a centipede instead of a spider. But I chose spider due to how I love spiders in Minecraft so much.
Next one we have:
Aurum Glutz Zyther!
We are approaching the second half of the family now! And this half of the family are minors so if you wanna crack them, I have something to say to you: Hell No You Ain't Doing Anything To Them. Anyway, her calcifications literally gave her a second mouth that craves for meat, especially human meat. Good thing she manages to control the Jaw's hunger by making fake human meat to trip the Jaw off. Her offensive capabilities are really low against bigger threats but as long as it's not larger than her, she can fight quite well.
Fun Facts:
Do you recognize that hairstyle? Yep, her hair was based off Celestia Ludenberg (a.k.a. Taeko Yasuhiro). It's also based off Kasane Teto I guess...
The Calcification she had was inspired by The Mimic Chest. Heck, the toon design for her is even a Mimic Treasure Chest.
She's currently the top student in her entire high school.
Her name is based off from the Latin name for Gold, which is Aurum, and the word "Glutton".
Now onto one of my favorites:
Broxs Zyther!
His calcification is quite disturbing to be honest. The buds were not only on his face, but on his entire body. And he was in constant excruciating pain after the buds bloomed. His spine even extended to the point that it became a tail. Now whenever someone looks at his face, unless if it's a member of the Zythers or the Sheils, they instantly die. He covers up his face with a box whenever he goes out so that no one dies because of his face. He also made a face for the box and the face is a female face... Kinda weird to be honest. Also if you're wondering he has no fighting skills whatsoever aside from flailing his spine tail (which hurts everytime he lands a hit btw)
Fun Facts:
He was the first Zyther ever created out of all of them.
He was created when I was making a survivor concept (not a survivor skin, a survivor) for Forsaken. Let's just say he's quite OP with his kit.
He's Carrie's most favorite sibling out of all of them
His name was based off the word "Boxes"
And finally, we have the last of the bunch, the younger twins:
Maggie Zyther and Sien Zyther!
These are what I'd call the most chaotic out of all the Zythers, mainly because they always fight with each other. They have one of their hands (Left for Maggie, Right for Sien) turned into blades. Maggie is more agile and packs more of a punch but less tankier than Carrie and Sien is much, MUCH more tankier and more agile than Azavine but he posseses weak offensive capabilities.
Fun Facts:
Their names are based off the colors Magenta and Sienna Brown.
Their toon forms are based off different notes too. Maggie is based off the Quarter Rest Note and Sien represents the Eigth Musical Note, which is kinda strange since Maggie is more agressive and energetic while Sien is collected and calm.
They are the youngest with the age of 14.
