Anyone else feel like "Online Business Academy" is just AIM Global with a rebrand?

Genuine question for anyone who's sat through an OBA pitch or knows the space.

I keep noticing the same faces in Online Business Academy's promo material and events that I remember from Alliance in Motion Global. Same recruiters, same "mentors," same energy, just a different name on the banner. Maybe I'm connecting dots that aren't there, so I'm curious if others have seen this too.

What sets off alarm bells for me:

The pitch always leans on lifestyle photos (cars, travel, "financial freedom") way more than on an actual product or service you'd buy on its own merits.

Income seems to come from recruiting more people, not from selling something to regular customers.

Everyone becomes a "CEO" / "entrepreneur" overnight, and questioning the model gets you labeled as "negative" or "not hungry enough."

The upside is always framed as unlimited, and the people who don't succeed are told they just didn't work hard enough.

To me that pattern sells hope more than it sells a real business, and the people who lose money are usually the newest recruits at the bottom.

So, am I being unfair? Has anyone actually made sustainable money here that wasn't from recruiting? And has anyone else clocked the overlap between OBA and AIM Global personnel?

And the part I can't unsee: the guy at the front of the room looks like the same Boholano who was fronting the AIM Global pitches. Same person, new brand, or am I mixing him up with someone else? Would love for someone to tell me I'm wrong.

Is it just me, or is the "Anti-Political Dynasty" bill a complete joke?

So I was reading through the third-reading copy of House Bill No. 8389 (the Anti-Political Dynasty Act) that our honorable representatives just pushed through. At first glance you'd think, "Wow, finally! Progress!"

But look closely at the text and it's practically a masterclass in legal loopholes.

The prohibited relationships section only bans relatives within the exact same political unit. For example:

-You can't have two relatives as congressmen in the same district.

-You can't have a husband as Governor and a wife as Vice Governor.

-You can't have brothers as Mayor and Vice Mayor of the same town.

But notice what it conveniently leaves out? It does nothing to stop a District Representative (Congressman) from having their spouse rule as City or Municipal Mayor in that exact same area, because under this bill, the House of Representatives and a City Government count as "different political units."

And guess who's among the lawmakers who backed this version? None other than our very own Rep. John Geesnell "Baba" Yap II.

How convenient. By signing off on this specific version, a politician gets to publicly flex as "anti-dynasty" while legally ensuring their own family's setup — one spouse holding the 1st District congressional seat, the other holding the Tagbilaran city mayoralty — stays 100% legal and untouched.

Good PR for "reforming" politics, zero risk to their own family's power.

Make it make sense. 🎭 Double standards at its finest.

How much to ship documents/printed materials from Bohol to US?

Hi everyone! I need some insights on shipping costs from Bohol to other parts of the US.

My client is planning to source printable materials here in Bohol for an event and needs them shipped to their location. We're talking about documents, flyers, programs, or similar printed materials.

For those who've done this before:

- Which courier service do you recommend?

- What's the typical cost per kilo or per box?

- How long does it usually take?

- Any tips on packaging to keep costs down while ensuring safe delivery?

Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏
