Chill Trip Recommendations

I’ll (F) be coming to Bohol on the first week of September for some self love / alone time. I have a pretty rough idea of what I’ll be doing, but I’d like some input from you guys.

I’m shying away from areas full of tourists (Chocolate Hills, Tarsiers, Adventure Park in Danao).

At the back of my mind, these are what I thought of: (the first 2 are non negotiables)

- Staying at Anda and Loboc
- Alicia Panoramic Park
- Man made Forest
- Cabagnow Cave (optional)
- Sevilla Hanging Bridge (debatable)

My itinerary is still pretty flexible in between so your suggestions are very much welcome. I’d like to go to places where there aren’t a lot of people. But do let me know what areas / places I shouldn’t skip out on.

Cafe / Restaurant recommendations too please! Driving around the island is no problem.

I’ll be travelling alone, and it’s been so long since I last went to Bohol, so all your tips are appreciated. (I’d love not to get scammed / robbed too 😅)

Hi everyone! I have a short vacation planned in Bohol starting this Thursday for the long weekend. Just wanted to ask—what has the weather been like lately, and is it expected to rain this week? Any advice or updates from those currently in Bohol would be greatly appreciated. Thank youuuu! 🫶

A stranger asked us if we already have a bpi bank account

Would like some clarification and a heads up to some people.

ganiha, me and some friends decided to hang out in k of c para lang mag chika and stuff. na tinga ra mi, naay mi duol namo and mi ask kung naa na ba daw miy bpi account which i found it odd kasi she told us siya lang daw mu process sa lahat para lang makakuha mig bpi card, for free daw. I already told in behalf of my friends na dili sa mi mu kuha ug card, pero they didn’t really took hint and kept on persuading, eventually mi hawa ra siya. then, ana akong friend na ang sling sa iyang “id” kay blurred and wala siyay nametag.

is this even normal na a random stranger mismo mag process sa imong bpi account??? basin ba its a scam tas naay uban na taw mu tuo and mi provide jud sa ilang info. It’s concerning

Night Life here in Tagbi

How's the night life here in Tagbi? First and last na gagawin ito kasi I'm leaving na sa 18 going Manila. Gusto ko lang matry. I'm 28 na pero di ko pa natatry ang ganun. Mabobore ba ako dun? Sobrang wild ba ng mga tao dun? Kaya ko kaya kahit nag-iisa. Hindi talaga ako maparty na tao. Introvert talaga. Alone akong dumating here, alone rin akong aalis. Baka merong gustong sumama. Hahaha. M here. Idk kung pwede ba rito ang ganito.

Anyone else feel like "Online Business Academy" is just AIM Global with a rebrand?

Genuine question for anyone who's sat through an OBA pitch or knows the space.

I keep noticing the same faces in Online Business Academy's promo material and events that I remember from Alliance in Motion Global. Same recruiters, same "mentors," same energy, just a different name on the banner. Maybe I'm connecting dots that aren't there, so I'm curious if others have seen this too.

What sets off alarm bells for me:

The pitch always leans on lifestyle photos (cars, travel, "financial freedom") way more than on an actual product or service you'd buy on its own merits.

Income seems to come from recruiting more people, not from selling something to regular customers.

Everyone becomes a "CEO" / "entrepreneur" overnight, and questioning the model gets you labeled as "negative" or "not hungry enough."

The upside is always framed as unlimited, and the people who don't succeed are told they just didn't work hard enough.

To me that pattern sells hope more than it sells a real business, and the people who lose money are usually the newest recruits at the bottom.

So, am I being unfair? Has anyone actually made sustainable money here that wasn't from recruiting? And has anyone else clocked the overlap between OBA and AIM Global personnel?

And the part I can't unsee: the guy at the front of the room looks like the same Boholano who was fronting the AIM Global pitches. Same person, new brand, or am I mixing him up with someone else? Would love for someone to tell me I'm wrong.

"Sumpa si BBM sa 2022-2027 nyang pag upo" sabi ng hardcore na 17 y.o. DDS

Bohol Provincial Library

It's been years pero until now wala pagihapon progress atong Provincial Library. Under construction lang gihapon ang main library area.

It honestly doesn't feel like a provincial library murag gamay nga public school library ang state

Book Selection is so small and super outdated. College kids are holding hands and using the library as a dating place

You can't borrow books unless naa kay kaila/paryente nga ga work sa government.

You can only borrow books if you get a certificate from your Barangay

You can't get inside the children's book section/area if you're an adult. I wanted to browse books for my pamangkins unta

You have to pay to use ancient computers

Open

Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM,

Saturdays 8AM - 11AM

Located at the Old Capitol beside the Museum

You can donate books here. Make sure they aren't damp and have molds.
