Looking for a grand Turkish/Middle Eastern restaurant in the GTA — hosting family, kids in tow
I have family visiting from out of town and I’d like to take them somewhere memorable. They spend a lot of time in Dubai and Turkey, so they’re used to that style of dining — big, beautiful rooms, generous mezze spreads, proper service. They’ve hosted us very well over the years and I’d like to return the favour.
Two things I’m hoping you can help me thread:
Budget isn’t the constraint. Happy to spend for the right place.
We’ll have four young kids with us, so a tasting-menu fine dining room is out. I need somewhere that can seat a big family at a large table and not blink when a five-year-old is a five-year-old.
Basically: the impressive, shiny, feast-on-the-table kind of restaurant rather than the hushed tweezers kind. Turkish, Lebanese, Persian, Syrian — all welcome. Anywhere in the GTA, happy to drive.
