first time i tried short story i was underwhelmed. this pairing or the few months of age helped a good deal. first time with leffe; will not be the last.

kristoff ligero maduro torpedo and laphroaig quarter cask

enjoying with a sierra nevada narwhal bourbon barrel aged stout.

this may be the smoothest retrohale i’ve experienced. not over hyped in my opinion though i did manage to snag it for only $10 in a famous smokes sample pack.

delightful.

1.5oz smith and cross
.5oz appleton 12 topper
fresh lime juice
homemade orgeat with local honey and almond extract
dry curaçao
fresh mint and spent lime ring garnish

i typically do a weekly scotch and cigar tasting but it’s too hot to enjoy scotch for my taste
