I am spending a few nights with my gf in Cape May in mid July and I am thinking of popping the big question. My plan was to get to Fish House on a Thursday and propose on the beach after dinner while the sun is starting to set. I have read up that the beach gets pretty crowded, especially in the peak summer months. I am ok with some people being around, as I know that will be unavoidable, but is there usually opportunities to find a little more space if I you trek up the beach more? I am hoping that by doing it Thursday I might have a little more luck before the weekend crowd is in full force. Open to suggestions if other neighboring spots may be better!
