BIO 3303(Animal Physiology I) with Matthew Pamenter?

I saw the reviews on rate my prof are sounding like a nightmare, some old reddit posts have also talked about it, in short should I take it for my winter term or wait until there is another prof teaching the course and drop and avoid it at all costs? let me know:) for context: 3rd year biology major student

How to find reference?

I'm trying to get more involved in volunteering this summer, but I'm running into a problem with references. A lot of the opportunities I'm interested in ask for at least 3 references, but they don't accept friends or family. My past volunteer supervisors have kind of ghosted me, so I don't really have anyone I can ask from those experiences.

I thought about asking old professors, but it's been a while and I honestly don't think any of them would remember me well enough to be a reference. Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you find references when you didn't really have professional connections yet? Any advice would be really appreciated.

I literally have no friends

I don't think I'm a bad person. I'm actually really nice to people. I might not have the best sense of humor, but I know myself well enough to say that if I ever became someone's close friend, I'd genuinely be a good one.

What I don't understand is why, even when I put in the effort to talk to people, no one seems interested in getting to know me on a more personal level. I'm in university right now, and it feels like everyone already has their own friend groups. It's like they're not really looking to make new friends anymore. To make things worse, my parents keep telling me to "go make friends," as if it's something I can just decide to do. I've tried, but it never seems to go anywhere. I honestly don't know what's wrong. Is this just how university is, or is there something I'm missing when it comes to making friends?

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this during a very difficult time for my family.

Recently, my family was involved in a serious car accident in Canada. Sadly, my grandmother passed away due to the injuries she sustained. This has been a sudden and devastating loss for all of us.

She was in Canada on a visitor visa, and while we do have insurance support for some parts of the situation, not all of the hospital and funeral-related costs are covered. As a result, our family is now facing unexpected financial pressure while also trying to cope with grief and arrangements for her funeral.

We are doing our best to give her a respectful farewell, but the costs are more than we can manage on our own. Any support no matter how small or even sharing this post would mean a lot to us during this time.

If anyone needs any proof or additional information, please feel free to DM me privately and I will be happy to provide it.

If you are able to help, here is the fundraiser link:

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any kindness shown to our family.
