Striking out
Hi all,
I just started playing softball and practice #1 was rough..
I missed the ball numerous times and most my contact resulted in dribblers through the infield.
Does anyone have advice for how to stop scooping under the ball?

My landlord just informed they are doing a property tour of my apartment on Thursday for an hour.
Normally I’d have no issue with this, but I just moved in at the end of March and am not moving out until at least the end of May, 2027.
Is this normal? Seems odd to me they’d have tours of my apartment a full year before it’s even available and I’m concerned this will be a regular thing for the duration of my living there..
I am pet sitting for my sister who has a small (25 lbs) dog, a larger cat (15-20lbs), and a large (60 lbs) dog. She also recently adopted a Belgian malinois puppy, who is somewhere between 4-6 months old.
The other two dogs are in their golden years and don’t love to play a ton. The puppy on the other hand of course wants to play just about 24/7.
I have owned and been around dogs for quite some time, and have a good idea of where the limit with play is.
The problem is sometimes the puppy wants to play when the senior dogs want nothing to do with him, and the smaller dog can’t really stand up to the puppy due to her size. Even the cat has to swipe at him once in awhile and seems somewhat terrorized by him.
My question is, is there a way to separate them while the puppy gets his energy out?
I am home with them pretty much all day for the next two weeks, and have access to both dog crates and a fenced in backyard. I am somewhat worried he could find a way to escape the backyard if he wanted.
Tonight I put him in his crate briefly with a few small treats, but he is very attached to the other dogs and wailed for 20ish min. My worry is that I don’t want to associate negative feelings with his crate, but I also want to provide these older dogs with some reprieve as well.
I hear people constantly talk about how great the type S is for track days.
As someone who loves the car and is buying one next year, but also doesn’t know much about cars or racing, can somebody explain to my the advantages of the Type S and why?
This car caught my eye because the fastest thing I’ve ever owned is my current 2018 Mazda3, and I want to continue driving manual as long as I can.
I know it’s got some straight line speed, but what is it that makes it beat so many other cars at these track days?
Shout out if you were at Sierra Sage today, the TEP looks sick!
