I remember their rookie cards were hella hot back then. Boy has times changed and serves as a reminder to not chase any current rookies. Just rip, collect and enjoy and watch how their careers play out.
Finally completed the 1999 Upper Deck SPx Starscape insert set. I had the Jordan, Shaq, and Pippen from when i pulled then as a teen but took a while to find the remaining cards in good condition

Finally git around to completing the 1997 Stadium Club Hard Court Heroics insert set. Thankfully I picked up the Jordan before his card values took a steep uptick.
Decided to get a couple of Jordans I tricked to get as a teen. I always loved the Upper Deck Hardcourt series.
Topps chrome update was a bust for me so decided to look through my old cards.
So i got back into the hobby last December when I found some boxes of my old cards that wasnt in my house fire from 2 decades ago. Looked up price comp on these Jordan dups that I pulled as a teen and was pleasantly surprised that were around a hundred a piece. I overlooked them back in 99 and just penny sleeves and put in a box. Flash forward to yesterday when I did a look up and seen these going for roughly 3 to 4 times the value since December. Wonder if its sustainable and if itll continue to increase in value.

Unfortunately, 1 on them is Kobe so ill be saving up for a bit to get that one.
The refractors from the 90's look so darn nice in person. I totally forgot I had this card.
Found some old boxes after moving. I was always a fan of the SPX finite set. And I never really remember ever pulling an atomic refractor, guess because it was Elden Campbell that I never really took a close look at it back then lol
Remember pulling these back in the day. Just threw em in penny sleeves and tossed em in a box cuz they werent super stars. Found them the other day and was suprised to know they're now worth around $40 to $50 a piece. Too bad they werent kobe, ai or air canada
So finally found my last 2 kobe rookies (upper deck rookie exclusive & SP) while unpacking to add to the display case. Gonna take a while of saving up but im determined to replace my childhood kobes and jordans that was lost in a house fire.
I pulled all these green variations and now hes traded to the bucks. Odd and funny coincidence. Hope he improves greatly next year with the bucks.
Found a few more MJs while unpacking so updated the display again lol.
Decided to get a new display shelf to go along with the newish house purchase. Got my MJ and Kobe shelves done for now until more singles purchases come through.
