What card are you eyeing up this summer?
What’s up yall. It’s the offseason and everybody knows the offseason is buy-season.
So I’m curious, what is the top card (or cards) on your wishlist this summer, and how do you plan on getting it?
For me, I’m a Pistons fan and PC all Pistons core (Cade, Ausar, Duren) and this Cade is number 1 for me on the list.
I love Origins and only have one other Cade rookie auto. I love the eye appeal of this card particularly.
I’m not too picky about what variation I get, however I do think the /49 purple version looks the best.
My main goal is try and get one of these in great/excellent condition for $300 and under. Comps are a bit all over the place but I’d say around that range for the unnumbered version.
Let me know what yall are hunting this offseason. Curious to know what has yall interested right now.
Random player of the day: Brent Barry
Brent had a solid career. 14 seasons, 2x rings, Slam Dunk champ in ‘96. Always shot well from deep and never became the detested villain that his pops was (Rick).
Not-so-fun fact: While they were teammates on the Spurs and close friends, Tony Parker was having a sexting fling with Brent’s wife that ultimately blew up both of their marriages (Tony’s w/ Eva Longoria).
One of my Favorite Cards
One of my favorite cards ever, unfortunate this one’s a sticker. Recent finals have definitely helped the value go up too!
My Humble Collection From One Year In The Hobby
I've always been a basketball nut, but never collected cards. Then one afternoon, my nephew asked me to open a pack of Pokemon cards with him, and then I was hooked. I wanted to collect basketball cards as I actually watch and know players, whereas with Pokemon, I only knew 1-150 lol.
But here's my collection from the last year. I got some nicer cards hanging on my wall in one touches and a wall frame, but here's some of my favorites from my top loader binder.
I rarely see people share their collection, and love looking at what others collect. So please share your PC and what's some of your favorite collections.
My crowning collection is my rainbow chase of Jason Williams from the 24-25 Prizm set. I basically fell in love with his set because it was the first pack I started opening, so I just have sentimental feelings towards it. Then I really like Origins/Contenders Optic due to their thicker paper stock, giving me a more premium feel.
And Lebron is my GOAT, hence why I love his cards. But thanks for letting me share! Hope you enjoy looking through my little collection.
1971 Topps Collection
First post - started collecting the 1971 Topps NBA set of my favorite players from that era. Don’t think I’ll complete the rest of the set but couldn’t pass up on these ten legends.
1997 Metal Kobe PSA 9
Legitimately one of the coolest looking cards ever made, made slightly cooler by the fact that it’s #81 in the set!
Wanted to show my MJ Collection (plus Karl Malone)
I just feel happy to have found them again…
My girlfriend has all the luck
Had a rough day, and I’ve been sitting on a Topps Flagship Jumbo Hobby box for about 4-5 months. Decided to open some basketball cards with my lady to make a crappy day better. My girlfriend ALWAYS pulls the heat. Pulled a Cooper Flagg auto /50 and a Dylan Harper case hit in the same pack. 🔥 🔥 🔥
Sleeved, top loaded, and put safely in my binder immediately. As soon as PSA opens back up, I’ll be sending the Cooper Flagg. This made a rough day a whole hell of a lot better. Happy 4th everyone!
Does anybody have any Jesus's made cards I have 100$ to spend
reddit.comNew to collecting cards
Hey guys I’m new to collecting nba cards I really enjoy collecting them but unsure how cards a rated or like cards like these two with signature mean. If any tips or advice on collecting cards as a collection please let me know. Thanks
Is this moisture?
Does anyone know what’s wrong with my card? It looks like the card is wet inside the PSA slab?! Did I store it poorly?
Thanks all!
I found some old cards from my childhood
Hi everyone,
I'm from Australia and have a collection of basketball cards from the 90s. I haven't kept up with the hobby for many years and I'm not sure where the best place is to research current card values.
Could anyone recommend the best websites or apps for looking up prices? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Do you think Topps Chrome basketball UPDATE will be the biggest release of this year?
reddit.comWould you grade this Bowman Sapphire Steph Red /5?
I hate to be the person asking, but it’s my turn to, I don’t PC Steph so I’ll eventually look to move on from this card to add to my PC. It’s probably the biggest basketball card I’ve ever owned. It’s OC with a heavy right side, when I measure using a centering tool I get basically exactly 55-45, but to my eye it looks worse than that so assuming a 9 is the ceiling … would you grade it?
I’ve gotten all kinds of conflicting advice, wanted to see what the group thought.
