Booked an aeroplan redemption from Johannesburg to Istanbul on A350-900 business class as I needed to get to Europe on a non-economy route.

I’m planning on going to Spain eventually. Looking online, I see that Turkish does grant access on arrival to business PAX. If I booked a separate flight to Spain on Turkish in economy:

1. Could I ask the agent in JNB to check my bag all the way through on two separate itineraries?
2. If not and I have to grab my bags on arrival, will I still have access to the lounge?

If neither bags will be checked through nor lounge access, I’d rather just pay less to fly Vueling.
