I learned 25 years ago to only use a ballpoint pen. For the past 10+ years I’ve used the Bic Glide Ultracomfort. I just replaced mine, and the quality is not what it once was.

What do you use? I tried a pencil, but it doesn’t glide across the fabric very well.

I thought about gel pens. I just need something that is smooth and won’t bleed through

I wanted to see if there are any TOTALLY by hand quilters amongst us. I piece and quilt everything by hand. Why? It’s just how I learned actually. Now I love the investment of time and irregularity of the stitching.

Anyone else piece and quilt by hand?
