DC area Genesis owners - question

Where do you get your car serviced? I bought from Safford in Springfield and the service experience has steadily deteriorated:

Want to set up an appointment or talk to a tech? The AI agent at Safford will pull you into a phone loop. It’s very hard to reach a person

Need to order a part for service? They have very little inventory, so be prepared to wait for a week or two for parts.

Need to have the car serviced. Be prepared for work to take much longer than you expect, even for things you think might be routine. If for a recall repair, ha - forget about it.

It’s clear Genesis as a brand has sold many more cars than they can service. I’m thinking of trading mine for an Audi or BMW because it isn’t worth the aggravation.

Does anyone have a reliable tech or garage in the DC area? Or is a trade in my only option?

Window buttons stop working for unknown reasons

Then, if the car is off for awhile and re-started, they work again. It’s random and intermittent, unpredictable.

Has anyone experienced this? how did you solve it?

Old Life Insurance Policies as Part of Trusts

A long time ago, my father (now deceased) bought a couple life insurance policies (from Manulife) that are held by trusts (more than $1 million). His idea was these would help pay inheritance taxes because they were higher then. I am the trustee and my mother is still living but now in her 90s. We get a statement every quarter on these policies and they are paid up in full. However, we are unable to find the tax id numbers in any of my mom’s paperwork. We have all the information and paperwork stretching back years, but can’t find that particular info. Manulife says the policies can’t be paid in the future or any further info provided if we can’t find the tax id numbers, which we can’t. Manulife told us they might not have the information either, since the policies are so old. All the agents associated with these policies are deceased. If we want to get these tax id numbers, do we keep trying Manulife, or the IRS? Perhaps we need an estate lawyer?
