Destiny BEGS Lav to come back after realising she was RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING

Several years ago, Lav raised shocking allegations against Hasan. Destiny, incapable of basic research and logic, and with a highly misogynistic smirk, dismissed the claims at the time in a fruitless attempt to undermine his community's growing faith in Lav.

Now, years later and after spending thousands of hours learning how to research, he comes to the inevitable conclusion that any honest truth-seeker would arrive at: Lav was right - because of course she was.

It is extremely encouraging to see that Destiny has grown from a small child with a hurt ego into a genuine critical thinker able to admit when he was wrong. May we all find it in our hearts to forgive him, and look forward to welcoming Lav back onto the stream (no doubt starting from tomorrow).

Less Hasan-posting for a bit

This is an intervention.

He’s been in the news a lot, he’s been tweeting dumb shit, and there’s been recent drama between him and Destiny. For the last few weeks, the subreddit has been smoking two packs of Hasan slop per day. No amount of Hasan is healthy, but this high of a dose is bordering on a medical emergency.

From today we will begin cutting back on Hasan-posting. 

Hasan-posting will not be prohibited, but we want to target:

  • Low effort Hasan slop posts/memes
  • Random cringe Hasan tweets
  • People no one has ever heard of dunking on Hasan
  • Repeat news stories (i.e. we don’t need to see every Hasan ad the Republicans make)
  • Ancient Hasan lore

Alongside that, we will be more aggressive at removing Hasan posts that could just as easily be comments on an already existing Hasan post. 

He’s politically relevant at the moment, so we don’t want to introduce a moratorium on Hasan-posting as has been done previously, but some action needs to be taken to preserve the subreddit as a broad liberal and progressive space and not a complete slop fountain.

Is the insights page broken?

Usually it reports how many comments were published vs removed each day on the Reports & Removals tab, but it only seems to be displaying removed items data for July 29th and shows 0 published comments and posts for the day. Anyone else seeing this issue?
