I've always thought Aba was a bad dude, and the horrible things he said to the hungry lady confirmed it.

The aftermath of Lorenz's appearance on Lib and Learn has exposed a troubling fear of strong journalists hidden beneath a veneer of "rational" criticism.

Trawling through the last 15 hours of posts, DGG's "critiques" fall into the following themes:

1. Lorenz is too slippery/weaselly.

2. Lorenz lies too much.

3. Lorenz gaslights people.

4. Lorenz is too nice and always tries to be friendly and upbeat.

This pejorative framing is fundamentally dishonest. DGG have taken Lorenz's greatest assets and somehow warped them into character flaws.

Consider this more honest appraisal:

1. Lorenz is a master of defence, able to effortlessly bob and weave with the proverbial (and verbal) punches.

2. Lorenz fiercely guards the truth. Only those who are able to pass her challenges are worthy of sharing in that guardianship. She is the gate and the keeper.

3. Lorenz is mentally dominant. Sometimes presenting evidence isn't enough in journalism, and utilising advanced psychological techniques can become necessary to help others see the Truth. You'd know this if you took Journalism 101.

4. Lorenz is too nice and always tries to be friendly and upbeat.

If Lorenz was a weak journalist who meekly accepted criticism from bald men and shared "evidence" of her claims or "looked into things" herself, then DGG would be swooning over how "reasonable" and "rational" she is. But she's not. She's not the pushover you wish she was, and you better get used to it.

Stick to your pampered and fragile Reuters and AP reporters, I'm going down the Skibidi rabbit hole with the Indiana Jones of internet journalism.
