Experiences with the Mirena?

Hi community. So i've been on the Yasmin combined contraceptive to manage endo and try and prevent recurrence after excision surgery. It has been great so far. I take them daily so I don't have a period. At my last check up, my endo specialist said everything looks good after doing a trans-vaginal ultrasound. But I don't feel like being on the pill long-term is good for anyone. There is the risk factor of getting a blood clot and it being classified as a group 1 carcinogen. My Doc had suggested that he could put in the Mirena during my previous excision surgery but I chickened out. I feel like I would like to explore it as my long-term management solution, especially since it eventually stops periods for most women. I'm not interested in having my period or having a child right now since every time I allow my cycle on, endo recurs pretty quickly. So i'm asking for your personal experiences if you have/had the Mirena. I want the good, the bad and the ugly so that I can be fully prepared.

Mniambie which brand of blender is good quality so that I can blend my pumpkin leaves next time. Highly recommend making mukimo with sweet corn. They pop so nicely in the mouth and they are soft.
