Local optical stores are getting insanely ridiculous in Lisbon

I swear glasses prices have become so weird lately. I went to one optical shop near my office because my old frames literally snapped on one side while I was cleaning them and the guy casually handed me a bill estimate close to €250 like bro I just need to see, not buy an iPhone.

So of course I kept delaying getting a new pair. The thought of spending that much on something that can easily break again made me so annoyed. My cousin told me to try online because she buys different style glasses from there all the time (she's a fashion diva in her own mind) and I thought it was probably gonna be sketchy quality or one of those super fake looking frames.

But surprisingly they looked decent. I uploaded my prescription and used the try on thing for like an hour because I couldn’t decide between round or rectangle frames for my oval face. Ended up paying around €45 with lenses which still feels unreal compared to stores near me.

Not saying they’re luxury or anything but for everyday glasses I’m honestly impressed. The funny thing is I ordered them as a temporary pair and now they became my main ones lol.

Anyone else struggling too with this?

My take on a few 10K 45W power banks.

After using a few 10K power bank, the difference between 45W and the usual 20–25W feels bigger than I expected.

The P50 (45W) is kind of the first one in this size that actually feels like a fast charger in your pocket. A quick 15–20 min top up with it actually gives you something noticeable. Compared to Anker 10K (around 20W-ish), it’s a bit slower but does feel more stable especially when charging multiple times a day.

Baseus is a bit in the middle for me. Some models claim 45W but in real use it doesn’t always feel consistent. Xiaomi’s slim ones are nice to carry but they feel more like convenience first rather than speed first. Never tried cheaper generic 10K banks...to me they feel pretty outdated now when everything else charges so fast.

What I’m still unsure about is whether 45W on a 10K bank is actually necessary or just nice to have. What's your take?

Full time remote worker for a year now, my work setup for when I am outdoors.

Trust me, a good 25,000 mAh battery is all you need to charge literally everything.
