this might be a cold take but Whitechapel lyrics are fucking brutal
I've been listening to a rather extreme side of metal, especially lyrically, and naturally I've became extremely desensitized to all the gory, bloody, brutal lyrics. Or so I've thought until I really read all of the Whitechapel texts and FUCKING HELL, half the songs make my skin crawl whenever I listen to them.
Idk what's the main reason for this - Phil's amazing vocals, his ©️low gutturals, insanely good instrumentals, some fucking BRUTAL topics (like killing/sacrificing a newborn in Nothing Is Coming For Any Of Us, this one makes me choke when I imagine all the scenes) or all of those combined, but specifically Whitechapel songs gross me out extremely.
And again, I've listened to hella lot of bloody and gory songs, but for some reason neither of them come even close.
