new to ana - tips?

ive been dabbling in ana recently! i used to think she was boring/not mobile enough for me but after actually giving her a chance, shes easily become my 2nd favorite hero to play.

my main issue is though, i dont think im playing her right?

i watched alot of tips videos while learning her and play how those videos recommended. i focus on damage/sleeps/big anti's and had healing as a "when needed" kinda thing. i focus on putting pressure on the enemy team, dealing with flankers, getting antis off on the enemy team, etc. then heal when teammates are critical or getting dove and need immediate help. which is what (to my understanding) i should be doing according to the vids ive seen of higher ranked anas.

the problem is that i frequently have teammates getting up my ass for not healing enough and asking me to swap. generally i have less healing than my other support (never under like 3k on an average round but of course that varies) and kills on par with our dps.

im of course only playing ana in quickplay while i learn her so i try to stick to her even when teammates are being rude but it is discouraging.

any tips on what could be improved? i can share replay codes if thatd help but im mostly wondering if maybe i rly am just not healing enough?

Eichenwald…

I don’t understand why everyone loves this map. Everytime I get this map it’s always the same thing. My team doesn’t even get past the first choke and the other team steam rolls us. It’s really rarely the other way around. I genuinely don’t know what I could’ve done differently to change this. My dps just kept trying to force themselves through to point and we couldn’t do anything to help them. I hate this map so much man

Game I lost in silver

Hello everybody.

Match code is Y6D3RD

I thought I did really well, queuing with rein.. I'm S4 and playing with my G4 rein. I used to be high plat low diamond at the very tail end of ow1 and got placed B5 in my placements. I'm really confused why i'm not getting any elo even though i'm doing well. I'm also losing a lot even though I have good healing and sleeps and dps.

Thanks,

A very annoyed Ana player

A question for my high elo Ana mains

Replay code: NYT2NJ

Gold/plat Ana

This season has been a little rough and haven’t changed my play style . To be fair I don’t like to heal bot and my heal numbers are usually lower than the other support. I try to use my cooldowns for anti nades or saving teammates. Depending on the other support I’ll change my play style. Has the damage passive really affected support that much? Should I try and heal bot more? Got flamed by a gringe stat warrior which is funny because on attack therewasn’t any complaining because we kept making plays. I’m not a great support player by any means and I know can do better. Just feels like it has gotten more difficult. I play Ana mainly on long range maps and I do great on those maps but recently it’s been rough.I’m just wondering what other Ana players have been experiencing. Ana having the weakest sub role probably doesn’t help any.

In the vod we rolled on attack , defense was a struggle.I had a Moira on my team so I thought “oh cool I can focus on anti heals” . I know my heals are dookie and so is my cd management, but my Mei started crying and eventually started griefing walling me off to kill me. I made dumb mistakes on defense for sure. Also I made it worst by eventually intentionally not healing him because how toxic he was. To be fair he started using walls on me before I got to that point

whats the best minor and major perk for ana and how do yall take care of your cooldowns

Hi my beloveds. Im a rein main at heart but i also play jq, from dps i play hanzo and ashe. I also play supports mainly was Illari but after the nerf to the projectiles its easier to dive me so i wanted to play a diff healer like my mains from supports are Wuyang and Brigite(mini me). So wise elderly and quite the most wholesome people i know, tell me your secrets of becoming the one with nano. Also im one of the polite reins who dont solo shatter you because i respect yall
