Through several of my games, I noticed the Silver Knight being a recurrent character in a lot of quests and Ancient Wonders
I was wondering if he has any lore relevance, perhaps in some of the older games? I only played Age of Wonders 4 and don't know much about the lore outside of the story realms
Hello Ana mains !
I am not an Ana main myself, although I am trying to learn how to play her as a support main as I feel like she can really help in some situations
One thing I struggle with her is knowing which of my teammates to nano, and I had a game recently where I nano'd an Emre who was ulting, only for my Genji to get mad because he wanted to Nanoblade, saying that Emre didn't need it as much as he did
So I was wandering how you guys deal with situations where you have multiple candidates for Nano
Juno's landed and joined overwatch for a while now but they have made little to no effort to help her family
Which got me wondering... what if the wrong people managed to convice her they could save her martian colony in exchange of her help? What if she was so desparate and naive that she accepts, leaving overwatch and joining them?
Rose Belmont as a legendary survivor with older Trevor as a very rare outfit would go so hard

So I'm doing this challenge I gave myself where I play through every base game "challenge" realm as a single faction without changing anything about the base build (I can still pick different tomes during the game, I'm just not allowed to edit the faction)
Got to the final one where it's scorched climate with lava everywhere, and my city stability is just awful because of it
Even if I go Tome of Fertility to get rid of the scorched climate and chasms, the lava is still there. I try to only expand on non-lava tiles but there is not enough room to really expand that way so I end up with super-tiny cities
I know I can slowly unlock stuff that give me more stability and build monuments but until I get there I struggle a lot
I can beat Normal and Hard difficulty without any issues, but with Brutal it's borderline impossible
Had an infestation send forces to one of my cities with a tier V and tier IV unit among them, I had not even unlocked tier III yet. I can't spam units and hope to outnumber them because I don't have enough gold
Even smaller battles against tier 2 units feel like a struggle every time, I sometimes have to restart the fight several times to make sure I don't lose any units because I can't afford to lose any
I can't just stay in my throne city until I unlock stronger stuff, but I also can't leave and fight my way through resource nodes and infestations because they kick my ass
I don't have the game installed right now because I'm temporarily living at my parent's house and their internet is so bad it makes it impossible to play, especially Wuyang
From what I saw from other posts, Maximillian's vault seems to be currently open and I only care about Wuyang skins, specifically poolside wuyang, and I'm wondering if it's possible that it shows up?
I tried looking for some answers online but got contradictory info so I'm asking here
I don't really want to install the game unless necessary because it's gonna take litteral days
Sorry if this is common knowledge I'm kinda new to the game
What I like about the Castlevania men is that they are both masculine and feminine at the same time, showing that the two aren't exclusive like many people seem to think
Yet they rarely get mentionned when talking about hot men in video games
Bro is posting bounties for me to capture the "Chains of X" cities but then intervenes last second to force a truce, only to call me back to war 2 turns later.
No wonder the archons kicked him off he's batshit insane
I know that balance wise having race transformations affect these rulers is a bad idea because they already are much stronger than the base game rulers, but sometimes I just want to play as a demonic vampire and not being able to apply the Demonkin visual tranformation to my ruler is sad
My two favourite culture types are Dark and Architect. I realized that by playing them I got used to insanely strong shock units (Immortals have resurgence which means they are expandable and can be used hyper-aggressively, and Earth breakers have a swipe attack that puts them in defense mode which is amazing to break enemies' defenses while staying safe yourself), but now that I want to utilize other cultures I realize that I have no idea how to use shield and pykeman units.
Both of them feel like they are better for staying in defense mode but even then they get destroyed by ranged attackers. I feel like if I try to be offensive with them I just end up giving away free kills, but staying in defense doesn't work either.
What is your general advice for fighting without shock units?
Hey y'all, so I have had pretty bad experiences in the past using voice chats in other games (any one who is part of any minority or a woman will probably understand : 14 yo edgelords thinking they're funny by yelling slurs or 'go back in the kitchen') so I really don't want to use it again for that reason
I mostly play QP but recently got into comp and placed Gold 4, and I was ranking up before I stopped playing for a while because of exams
Anyway, I have seen people complain about not having teammates that use voice chat since it makes you unable to have proper callouts and comms, and these are usually higher rank folks than gold/plat, but it got me wondering:
If I play without VC, will the lack of proper team communication prevent me from climbing?
If I somehow manage to climb, will I be considered to be "throwing" for not using voicechat?
Is ranked even worth getting into if I'm not gonna be using voice chat, or should I just stick to quick play?
Played a custom game to try some of the new DLC stuff, one of the premade civilisations with underground adaptation spawned close to me (but like, underground)
First thing they did is send their ruler to the surface and spam outposts next to my capital's border
Then they got mad because I was claiming their 'claimed provinces' and spend the rest of the game asking for one of the bronze wonders that spawned next to me until they eventually declared war on me
Mind you, they did not settle even one city underground other than their capital city
I understand how from a strategic point of view, this kind of aggressive settling can be good. But like, you would expect a civilisation of mole-people to *actually* try to develop underground instead of trying its best to piss off the player
Maybe underground adaptation should come with downsides for settling on the surface, maybe stuff like production penalties or negative city stability, this way the AI would be more encouraged to act like they thematically should
Cats hate water, right? So what if Wuyang could deal extra damage to Jetpack Cat since you know... his primary fire is water
I mean this mostly as a joke, but I feel like it wouldn't be too bad of a decision considering how hard it is to hit a JPC with Wuyang
Before we begin: no I do not think that you are necesseraly explointing simply by using it
If you don't know what it is, it's basically a tech where a survivor waves/points to skip the "being downed" animation that usually locks you in place
This allows you to move earlier than usual which can allow you to crawl under a pallet or even escape the trial when the killer usually would have been able to pick you up
This has been into the game pretty much since release, and was never patched, to the point where any experienced survivor know about it and will take advantage of it
According to wikipedia : In videogames, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitch, in a way that gives a substantial unfair advantage to players using it.
When you look at it this way, it is quite a substantial advantage. Being able to make it under a pallet or escape a match when the killer usually would have been able to pick you up, sounds like an exploit.
Sure, anyone can do it, but it doesn't look like it was ever intended by the devs which categorizes it as a glitch.
Mikaela was released in october of 2021.
When you added her, she immediately became the most popular survivor, due to her boons being OP and her witch vibe which many fell in love with.
In her lore, you mentioned Julian, her best friend and roommate. The lore mentioned he mysteriously disappeared shortly before, leading many to believe he would eventually come as a survivor.
This will be 5 years ago soon, and still no Julian. But you added Sable... someone who was never mentionned in Mikaela's lore. I hated her because of this. I understand making a new character with a goth aesthetic because it would sell well. And I also understand making a character related in some capacity to your number one most popular survivor at the time. But why did you create one from scratch when you already had a character from Mikaela's lore?
But recently, you gave Julian an official appearance as well as additional lore through the current tome. This gave us hope that he might be added one day. There are so many other characters you included in your tomes and never added as survivors, please do not let him be another one on the list.
If Julian gets added into the game, I will never complain about anything dbd-related again. Hell, I will forgive you for what you did with Sable and will even start liking her. I will buy all of her skins and give you my hard earned money.
That is all. Thank you for listening to my rant
I see so many people online who, when arguing against homophobia, will say "being gay isn't a choice". But in my opininon, this is just a bad argument to use, because of 2 reasons:
One, it is WAYYY too apologetic. It might not be what you intend to say, but to them it just sounds like "I know being gay is bad and if I could change it I would" which bring me to my second point
It technically isn't true. Yes, you don't chose your sexuality, but you chose wether or not to act on it. Humans have reason and self-control, which you could definitely use to never do any gay stuff.
Some guys never involve themselves with another guy because they are in a place where it could get them killed. Others go even further and decide to pretend to be straight to clean themselves of all doubt. There are even whole communities of gay guys who think it's wrong to be gay and won't act on it because it's morally right according to their twisted ideology
I have met several bisexual guys who told me they would never date a man, not because they don't have romantic feelings for them but because it's way easier for them to get in a 'straight' relationship
Yes, you don't chose to be gay, but being gay and *actually* being gay are two different things, you get me?
So next time you are arguing with an homophobe, instead of saying "being gay isn't a choice", say "being gay isn't a choice, but even if it was I would still chose to be gay, and it doesn't affect you in anyway whatsoever so you can kindly FUCK OFF"
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk I guess
Alright so one of the skins I have in maximillien's vault is one I temporarily have available because of my gamepass subscription.
Because of this, I cannot purchase the skin to own it indefinitely
I tried purchasing it from the web store but the vault isn't available there
One option I have is to download overwatch on another platform than pc or xbox, and purchase it from there, but I was wondering if anyone has met this issue and knows of an easier way to bypass this dumb restriction
