I can beat Normal and Hard difficulty without any issues, but with Brutal it's borderline impossible

Had an infestation send forces to one of my cities with a tier V and tier IV unit among them, I had not even unlocked tier III yet. I can't spam units and hope to outnumber them because I don't have enough gold

Even smaller battles against tier 2 units feel like a struggle every time, I sometimes have to restart the fight several times to make sure I don't lose any units because I can't afford to lose any

I can't just stay in my throne city until I unlock stronger stuff, but I also can't leave and fight my way through resource nodes and infestations because they kick my ass

Je vois énormément de gens qui racontent leur moment de "rage" devant les jeux vidéos, comme s'ils en étaient fier ou que c'était un truc qui est censé faire rire. Du style "haha, une fois j'ai mis un coup de poing dans mon écran parce que j'étais mort sur Dark Souls"

C'est pas drôle, et ça ne devrait pas être normalisé. C'est juste ne pas savoir géré ses émotions et ne pas savoir s'arrêter quand on commence a être frustré. Si vous en arrivez là, vous auriez dû arrêter de jouer depuis longtemps

Un jeu vidéo, ça reste un "jeu", donc quelque chose auquel on est censé jouer pour se divertir et passer son temps libre. Si ça nous met dans un tel état que la colère dépasse le cadre du jeu et vient impacter notre état physique, c'est pas sain et il faut se faire soigner, ou au moins faire une pause. (Toucher de l'herbe, quoi)

Et pour ceux qui s'énerve sur les jeux en ligne compétitif pvp, ça montre en plus de ça un manque énorme de maturité face à la défaite. Au lieu d'apprendre de vos erreurs et de vous remettre en question pour essayer de vous améliorer, vous préférez rejeter la faute sur les autres ou vous énerver. Vous êtes persuadés que vous devez gagner à chaque fois, sans vous rendre compte qu'à moins d'être littéralement le meilleur joueur de la communauté, c'est simplement impossible

Alors je vais reformuler un peu mon argument : s'énerver c'est normal, mais ça ne devrait pas aller aussi loin de telle sorte que vous pétiez un cable et que ça sorte du jeu

I know that balance wise having race transformations affect these rulers is a bad idea because they already are much stronger than the base game rulers, but sometimes I just want to play as a demonic vampire and not being able to apply the Demonkin visual tranformation to my ruler is sad

My two favourite culture types are Dark and Architect. I realized that by playing them I got used to insanely strong shock units (Immortals have resurgence which means they are expandable and can be used hyper-aggressively, and Earth breakers have a swipe attack that puts them in defense mode which is amazing to break enemies' defenses while staying safe yourself), but now that I want to utilize other cultures I realize that I have no idea how to use shield and pykeman units.

Both of them feel like they are better for staying in defense mode but even then they get destroyed by ranged attackers. I feel like if I try to be offensive with them I just end up giving away free kills, but staying in defense doesn't work either.

What is your general advice for fighting without shock units?

Hey y'all, so I have had pretty bad experiences in the past using voice chats in other games (any one who is part of any minority or a woman will probably understand : 14 yo edgelords thinking they're funny by yelling slurs or 'go back in the kitchen') so I really don't want to use it again for that reason

I mostly play QP but recently got into comp and placed Gold 4, and I was ranking up before I stopped playing for a while because of exams

Anyway, I have seen people complain about not having teammates that use voice chat since it makes you unable to have proper callouts and comms, and these are usually higher rank folks than gold/plat, but it got me wondering:

1. If I play without VC, will the lack of proper team communication prevent me from climbing?

2. If I somehow manage to climb, will I be considered to be "throwing" for not using voicechat?

3. Is ranked even worth getting into if I'm not gonna be using voice chat, or should I just stick to quick play?

Played a custom game to try some of the new DLC stuff, one of the premade civilisations with underground adaptation spawned close to me (but like, underground)

First thing they did is send their ruler to the surface and spam outposts next to my capital's border

Then they got mad because I was claiming their 'claimed provinces' and spend the rest of the game asking for one of the bronze wonders that spawned next to me until they eventually declared war on me

Mind you, they did not settle even one city underground other than their capital city

I understand how from a strategic point of view, this kind of aggressive settling can be good. But like, you would expect a civilisation of mole-people to *actually* try to develop underground instead of trying its best to piss off the player

Maybe underground adaptation should come with downsides for settling on the surface, maybe stuff like production penalties or negative city stability, this way the AI would be more encouraged to act like they thematically should

I mean this mostly as a joke, but I feel like it wouldn't be too bad of a decision considering how hard it is to hit a JPC with Wuyang

If you don't know what it is, it's basically a tech where a survivor waves/points to skip the "being downed" animation that usually locks you in place

This allows you to move earlier than usual which can allow you to crawl under a pallet or even escape the trial when the killer usually would have been able to pick you up

This has been into the game pretty much since release, and was never patched, to the point where any experienced survivor know about it and will take advantage of it

When you look at it this way, it is quite a substantial advantage. Being able to make it under a pallet or escape a match when the killer usually would have been able to pick you up, sounds like an exploit.

Sure, anyone can do it, but it doesn't look like it was ever intended by the devs which categorizes it as a glitch.

I see so many people online who, when arguing against homophobia, will say "being gay isn't a choice". But in my opininon, this is just a bad argument to use, because of 2 reasons:

One, it is WAYYY too apologetic. It might not be what you intend to say, but to them it just sounds like "I know being gay is bad and if I could change it I would" which bring me to my second point

It technically isn't true. Yes, you don't chose your sexuality, but you chose wether or not to act on it. Humans have reason and self-control, which you could definitely use to never do any gay stuff.

Some guys never involve themselves with another guy because they are in a place where it could get them killed. Others go even further and decide to pretend to be straight to clean themselves of all doubt. There are even whole communities of gay guys who think it's wrong to be gay and won't act on it because it's morally right according to their twisted ideology

I have met several bisexual guys who told me they would never date a man, not because they don't have romantic feelings for them but because it's way easier for them to get in a 'straight' relationship

Alright so one of the skins I have in maximillien's vault is one I temporarily have available because of my gamepass subscription.

Because of this, I cannot purchase the skin to own it indefinitely

I tried purchasing it from the web store but the vault isn't available there

One option I have is to download overwatch on another platform than pc or xbox, and purchase it from there, but I was wondering if anyone has met this issue and knows of an easier way to bypass this dumb restriction
