surely this is a bug? i bought it and after shooting with the gun equipped (fully upgraded btw) and trying it without it equipped, there is little to no difference in sound effects and the only difference is the flourish. does anyone else notice this?

I've been playing juno a lot and she's been my main for about 3 or 4 months.

I've been trying to rank up as her for a while now and one huge issue I have is that I have no clue how to help my team get thru a choke point or a narrow section in the map.

I know that you should use orbital ray, but, orbital ray only does so much and it gets countered by other ults like Sigma's flux and Cassidy's deadeye.

That's probably on me for not tracking the enemy ults, but, I wanna know how y'all handle a choke point in a map?

The main reason I can't rank up from gold 2 to plat(which is where I wanna be for now) is because I don't really provide that much value to my team.I used to be straight up useless but in the past month I've found out how to actually be a decent support.

I'd be happy for any criticism.

I am trying to learn Juno. I love her personality and her gameplay always looks so fun, but I don’t think I really understand what I’m doing.

Most games, I pretty much just fly around and try to click heads/heal teammates if they’re low, then try to get as many people as possible with my torpedoes as soon as I have 3+ people in my LOS.

I have taken Locked On every match so far, and after picking it I try to hit at least two opponents with torpedoes each time.

I tend to prefer Faster Blaster over Triple Jump, mostly because every single match seems to have a hitscan player who will dispatch me in 0.3 seconds if I choose the latter

I feel like I usually either end up playing too passively or racking up deaths like I’m getting paid to do it. I feel like on payload maps in particular (which the whole playerbase seems to love for some reason) I always have to choose between healing my team with torpedoes and damaging the opponents because everyone’s always on opposite sides of a corner or wall. Everyone seems to be afraid of going anywhere near the enemy and if I peek I get killed immediately.

Does Juno have any place on a poke comp? My instinct is no, but people OT her to the heights of ranked so I assume it’s possible… somehow.

What kinds of numbers should I be aiming for? Right now I tend to get about 1k damage and healing each minute, but that feels low… and if my opponent has barriers I get about half that (half my matches have a shield tank and a Mei which really really sucks for me.

Are there techs I should be learning??

Hey, I just started playing overwatch a couple of weeks ago and Juno is my main character.
I have been watching lots of tutorials on how to play her more proactively and as I am starting to learn the maps I feel that I'm starting to get better.
I have seen a couple of top player videos and I'm wondering about her melee attack. These top players use her kick pretty often, what is the purpose of it, is there some kind of trick behind it? Cause it's used even when just zooming around and ai can't understand that

A while ago I got back into Overwatch. I tested out a bunch of the new heroes, and found that Juno clicked well with me. I like how due to her mobility and high ground possibilities, you don’t have to take too many risks and you are rather safe even while still having impact on the match.

The thing is, while I would say that I play a pretty decent Juno now, I don’t want her to be the only hero I am able to play, because A someone else might pick her, and B I do want to play Overwatch instead of Junowatch.

But every attempt to play another hero felt like a humiliation ritual, like I have never played this game before.. I felt highly immobile in most of the characters I tried or “too close” to the action, so I guess I do like a bit of safety distance?

As for the heroes I tried:

For Supports I’ve tried a few. Besides Juno, the one that worked best for me was Moira, but I don’t have a lot of fun on her. I guess it’s better than nothing. Lucio does have high mobility, but I he needs to be too close for me to comfortably play him. On Kiriko I managed to maintain a comfortable distance, but my aim on her is horrendous. I also got flanked a lot and could neither hold myself in 1v1s nor could I escape. Zen just feels extremely slow and I cannot for the life of me do any damage on Wuyang.

For Tanks I feel like the issue isn’t as strong because of the high HPs and I don’t feel endangered as quickly. Orisa and Mauga worked somewhat for me, but again, the fun wasn’t exactly there? But I might not be a tank person anyway.

Now with DPS I struggle a little because I really hesitate queuing for DPS. I don’t know why exactly, but it’s some mental blockade that doesn’t let me because I’m not “good enough” yet. But I think I would like to play it more, if I found the right hero. I’ve tried a few matches as Shion and I wasn’t horrible but it didn’t click like when I first played Juno.

I know this reads as if I basically want a second Juno, which, fair, maybe I do. I am also aware that you need to learn each hero before you get good at it. But Juno didn’t feel nearly as frustrating to learn than any of the ones I tried, so I thought maybe asking here wouldn’t hurt.

TLDR; what I search for is a hero with (some or all of) these attributes.

- High mobility (can get in and out of combat very quickly or escape 1v1s)

- Midrange (or at least not too close)

Maybe someone has some recommendations or tips, that would be great :)
