I am thinking of transferring units to California and want to know what people’s thoughts or experiences are in the California national guard

I’m currently in the Army National Guard and looking into doing an IST (Interstate Transfer) to another state. Can anyone who has gone through the process explain how it works and what steps I need to take to get it started?
