44 mil levy for Denver public schools.

I’m having a hard time buying this garbage. Can someone please sell me on it?

The last one they pushed, teachers basically got passed over while the superintendent got a $45,000 a year raise. Teachers received nothing from it. On top of that, the increase in health care costs caused by the district’s incompetent benefits department means teachers and school staff are actually making less money than they did the year before.

They promised COLA increases if it passed, then backed out with excuse after excuse. At this point, they’re sending emails asking teachers to push for this mill levy, but why? I honestly can’t see a single good reason to support it.

Meraro already got his $150k office renovation and his $45k raise. On top of that, he’s been applying to other districts all over the country. When he gets denied, he comes back and releases another silly video about “Team DPS” and being “all in” — even though the reality is that he has screwed up the district so badly that he can’t find an off-ramp for his own “strategic roadmap.” What else does the guy want?
