Deeds to do on the day of Arafah

Salam walikum everyone

I was wondering what are some deeds and “أعمال” to do on the day to get more hasanat. Like what Surah to read and what prayer to do. All I know from looking at this subreddit is that you should fast on the day.
But please let me know what else is there to be done
I’m trying to become a better person and raise the baraka in my household

Thank you in advance

Salam everyone please make dua for me

I asked my parents for permission to do something. My mum has said yes and I’m awaiting for my father’s approval. I hate doing anything without 100% of approval from the both of them. I don’t want to cause them any stress or mistrust. I really hope they say yes with trust in me.
Inshallah my dad says yes
I don’t know what else to say in my dua besides begging Allah to make my dad say yes.
Because if it happens it’ll improve my mental state a lot and lower my stress

I sometimes get emotionally low where I don’t leave my bed for days on end, it results in me forgetting the words of salah and the history of Islam and ways I could be a better Muslim. I’m really struggling on how to improve myself in this aspect when it comes to remembering the stuff I know about my religion and things I taught myself. I even brought it up in my sessions when I started therapy recently. I’m disappointed in myself that I have to relearn everything I know about Islam from scratch after each episode of feeling “low” stops me from living life.
I wish I had guidance. Someone I can talk to and ask questions without feeling shameful about not knowing things yet.
Because I have a lot I want to learn and discuss but no one to do that with
